The kitchen opens onto the dining/living area. From the balcony you can enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains.
The house is situated 5 minutes’ walk from the village centre, the train station and bus stop are practically on the doorstep.

The glacier village of Grindelwald nestles in a diverse, unspoilt Alpine landscape. It is world famous for its backdrop of snow-covered mountains including the Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In summer, some 500 kilometers of well-marked walking, hiking and mountain trails wait to be explored. En route you will find you’ll find rustic mountain restaurants offering a wide selection of good food, ideal spots to take a relaxing break. The region has many other summer activities to enjoy, such as 120 kilometers of marked mountain-biking routes, paragliding, bungee jumping in the glacier gorge, scooter bike run, summer roller-sledge run, First cliff walk and much more. In winter, 45 mountain railways, aerial cableways and ski lifts offer an invitation to enjoy great fun in the Jungfrau Region. The tree areas of, Grindelwald-First, Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and Mürren-Schilthorn offer over 200 kilometers of pistes, with a choice of thrilling or easy downhill runs. Non-skiers are well created for with 100 kilometers of winter-walking trails. The region is also a paradise for sledding fans. The 15-kilometre sledge run from the Faulhorn summit down to Grindelwald is the longest in the Alps. And there’s plenty more snow sport on offer in the Jungfrau Region, including snowshoe tours, cross country skiing and ice sport.

Really enjoyed the actual property. The beds are comfortable and the property is well maintained. Our only quibble is that the provisioning by GRIWA Rents, the villa managers is pretty meager. No salt or pepper. No starter Nespresso pods or sugar packets for coffee. One towel per person. No extra pillows or blankets in the unit, etc. And, with a $600 CHF cleaning fee, you do not expect to have to take the trash down to the train station yourself. For a $200 fee, sure. $600 no. That said, everyone was quite nice and the property was very comfortable.
