Alua Helios Bay - All Inclusive

I liked everything about this hotel. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. It was noise isolated and I had a really good rest. It had a large terrace with a stunning view of the sea. The hotel is right on the beach but also has 3 nice and clean swimming pools, 2 of them for children. The food was excellent and plenty. Almost everything was grilled not fried, fresh salads made of local vegetables and fruit. The staff was accommodating, exceptionally friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend it and I definitely will visit again. Good value for the money. Next time I will take some friends with me.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I only would recommend giving an option to the guests to use trays to carry their food to the table. This will be much more convenient. You see, when you dine with someone they can keep your table for you while you are getting your drink or the rest of your food or second helping. However, I was alone, I couldn't carry my food and my drink at the same time or if I wanted to go for a second helping, so until I went back to take my food, very often someone had already cleaned off my table. I think having a tray would have helped a lot.

“Great all-inclusive stay in Obzor, Bulgaria. The beachfront location is perfect—easy choice between a swim in the sea or the hotel pool. Food was very good: fresh, tasty, and varied. Beds were comfortable, rooms spotless with daily cleaning, staff were excellent, animations well run, the beach was clean, and the draft beer was good quality.

Downsides: spirits were low quality, cocktails too sweet, house wine disappointing, and the town of Obzor itself isn’t very interesting.”

The room was big, spacious with lots of storage. It was also very clean, like everything else in the complex was pretty clean. The food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. Adult entertainment was nice, with karaoke nights, dance or music nights. The service was on a high level.

The water in pool was very cold and I didn't have enough courage to dip myself in it even once. With the sea being pretty rough for a few days unfortunately pool was our only options (as we had small kids) and it was just cold and not pleasant. Kids pool was very cold too. Even Jacuzzi was cold. Every single day we had same options for breakfast and got pretty tired of this same food by the end of our stay. Spa and massage prices were outrageous. Kids club did not offer any good kids entertainment. It was just a room that was pretty empty and not much to do. The hotel did not have sun chairs on the beach so we had to pay for those.

Paid expensive parking under the sun, paid sun umbrellas which all get reserved early in the morning, free beach in front, but one needs to have one's own umbrella, food lacks variety with occasional exceptions, hard to find a spot on the pool, at check in(3pm) lunch buffet is already closed and other food options are poor, after checkout at 11am lunch buffet is again missed as at that point wrist band is cut and one is informed that even parking becomes unavailable. Overall OK ,but too many details that create discomfort and need to be taken care of by oneself. I expect, when I book all inclusive resort to have minimal extra expenses and have a peace of mind not taking care of many things. Not a good value for the money
