About this villa rental
The Villa Le Grotte, independent and for up to 8 guests, is located directly on the sea in front of the Gulf of Portoferraio with a large terrace overlooking the sea with table, chairs, sun loungers, umbrellas for unforgettable outdoor holidays by the sea.
The Villa lies in the ‘Golfo delle Grotte’, with a suggestive view of Portoferraio and its Medici Fortresses and a few steps from the archaeological site of an ancient Roman villa. From the nearby little beach, a jetty allows the mooring of small boats and a characteristic round wooden platform, directly over the water, with sun beds and umbrellas, are available for the guests of the villa.
The lower level of the villa offers guests a large living room (with a sofa bed) and a dining area with sea view. From the living room and the dining area you reach the terrace through a large sliding window door. On the same level there is also a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
3 steps only are leading to an upper level where guests find a fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds as well as an additional bathroom with shower.
Portoferraio with its port, the Calata, restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques, markets, summer events is less than 10 minutes away by car. But also the famous villages of the island of Elba such as Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro can be reached in less than 20 minutes (10 km).
The long sandy beaches of Biodola and Procchio are 9 km away.
The Villa is ideal for families, or a group of friends, who love the sea and the comfort and outdoor life during the holidays.
Pets allowed on request and payment.
The rental price includes utilities, bed linen and towels with weekly change and final cleaning.
On arrival there is a € 300 security deposit to be payed.

great location - very calm and beautiful view on the bay of Portoferraio. We especially enjoyed the direct access to the sea for swimming and wingfoiling as well as the wonderful terasse where we celebrated our dinner every evening and enjoyed the beauty of the bay.

The instructions regarding check-in were flawless. On the ferry you should call a lady for arrival time. Her friendly son was already waiting for us and showed us around the beautiful house. The house is right on the water with a great view of the city and almost private access. If you are looking for peace and privacy, this is the place for you. Kitchen equipment is plentiful. Stores can be reached by car. The rooms with turquoise floors have been renovated. There is a great natural floor in both. We would come again. Thank you.
