Gyeongju BonghwangMansion

Location was excellent. Plenty of shops and restaurants around including a convenience store! Very easy to get to places with Uber and buses especially if you want to visit places outside the city like Bulguksa Temple. The main attractions are nearby. Don't get discouraged if you see that it's like 30 minutes walk to Wolseong Fortress, for example. It takes maybe around 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the "entrance" of the main attractions. The area itself where Wolseong Fortress, Cheomseongdae Observatory, and others is very huge. So you will have to walk around a lot anyway :) The staff was very nice and friendly. It was also very convenient to be able to leave your luggage when you check out so you can still do some sightseeing. The airconditioner works! Which was very important in the hot weather. It was also convenient that you could just get your own towels when needed.

We didn't know that the "hotel" was more like a hostel. The breakfast was not much. Basically just bread and like 2 kinds of deli meat. The room could be cleaner. We saw hair on the clean towels. We had a twin room and my bed was hard :( The other bed was soft and normal though.

Great value for money – the price matched the quality perfectly. The room was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including towels, shampoo, hair conditioner, and shower gel. There was both a fan and air conditioning, which made the room very comfortable. The TV was also a nice addition. Overall, a pleasant stay with good amenities and excellent value.

The air conditioner was extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep. It also rattled constantly, which was quite disturbing. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. There was no proper blanket provided, only a bed cover, which we ended up using to sleep under. It was made entirely of synthetic material, so it felt very hot and uncomfortable during the night. These issues significantly affected the quality of our sleep.

Excellent location and friendly staff.

The location was great. Right in the city, close to all monuments. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast with toast & jam was good enough.

The rooms aren’t very cozy. Very bright lighting. Also the bathroom has mold and the shower smells quite badly.
