Cozy Amish-built cabin overlooking 80 acres of fields and forests. Walking trails for stretching your legs. Watch the sunset on your back deck. Upgraded linens, full bath, and kitchen with small island for your convenience. Propane grill. Loft bedroom overlooks the living room below. Owner lives on property if there is anything you might need. There is an additional cabin on the 80 acres about 1/10 mile away…far enough away for secluded privacy but close enough Incase you wish to bring family or friends. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a time for reflection,... welcome home.

We had planned on checking out a few locations in the area, but it was so beautiful and peaceful, we just stayed at the cabin and relaxed. Loved sitting on the back porch and unwinding. The host was very thoughtful in providing everything you might need.

The cabin size was great for two people and the property was amazing! The interior was nice and clean except for some dead stinkbugs and an old aluminum cooking tray a previous guest must have left. We also had to cover the gas grill grate with some foil since it was rusty. The privacy of the cabin was my favorite part and it was close enough to some neat attractions and hiking areas. Trust the good reviews on this one! Worth it!

If you want peace and quiet, this is your place. Our little dog enjoyed everything about this place as did we... the hosts were so wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves so much. It was nice and clean. We loved sitting on the back porch. We will go back for sure. Highly recommend.

We had car trouble coming in but were able to get several great recommendations to fix it in the neighboring town the next day. This location is rural enough to be secluded in nature, but close enough to get something in the neighboring town (Hillsboro) if needed. Very comfortable stay! Bring coffee and fixins if you are a coffee drinker, and protect yourself from ticks in the woods and high grass. Otherwise, gorgeous property, very nice people, and all the amenities you need for a peaceful getaway!

We were curious about the mysteries of nearby Serpent Mound -- and decided no time would be better to visit from the Detroit area than the fall equinox. For our long weekend, we booked the Bear's Hideout. And we were thrilled with the cabin and the farm. It was everything advertised -- and much, much more. We felt a thousand miles from the rat race. We felt like a part of nature. We felt like we had found a home on the range. Great view of the sunset from the back porch. Neat sleeping in a loft. All the comforts of home -- but none of the noise. This place is the perfect getaway. You will not regret it!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bear's Hideout Cabin. The property and surroundings were beautiful as was the well-appointed cabin. We explored the area by day, hitting several park/nature areas, Amish shops, local eateries and a nearby winery. No Wi-fi on the premises, but that's a plus in my book. For those that can't fully unplug, cell phone signal was strong and our mobile hotspot worked great when needed. Todd and Rebecca were great hosts and we'd be happy to make a return visit someday.

The cabin I rented was extremely clean, exactly as described, and in an ideal location. If you're looking for peace and quiet in a rural area in the rolling hills of Ohio, this is the place to go. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would gladly do so again. Todd and Rebecca were great hosts and, even though it was the first time we met, it felt more like staying with friends than simply renting a cabin. Highly recommended.

The cabin is on a farm and off from the main activity of the farm. It is nicely decorated and quiet.. if you want to be alone this is a great place to do it. The hosts were very nice. It is an odd thing to post, but the towels were the most luxurious I’ve ever used!
