Great holiday home that had everything we needed and more
Amazing property. So peaceful but minutes away from Dinan. The property itself was lovely. Very comfortable, well furnished, great facilities for children. Very highly recommended

it’s nice for a big group like us, so many facilities that made the kids happy and excited. hosts are friendly too.
location is serene, and 10 minutes only to beautiful dinan town. land is huge that we had no time to explore all.
almost nothing, dryer keeps on stopping every 2 minutes, but probably because we don’t really understand how to run it properly 😄

Great Location, but be careful of the owner.
the location is really good, it’s only 10mins into beautiful Dinan. there is ample parking. The property is on a quiet street, there is a Trampoline at the back where kids can jump.
We have been to France many times and spent a glorious 5 nights at another Gite before booking Domaine de la Tarais in order to be close to Dinan and Saint Malo as we needed to board a ferry on the Sunday back home. We booked via Booking.com and although the property definitely wasn’t our first choice, we needed to find something and the ones we liked were fully booked. The Gite is more expensive than the hotels in the area so we were hoping for a Wow-Factor. The owner will remind you numerous times that this is NOT a hotel- and he is right - but he wants to charge Hotel-Prices……
After we booked and made our non-refundable,fixed, payment, the owner messaged to say they required a €400 CASH deposit. This was a challenge for us, due to 2 reasons, 1) we never knew about the deposit as it didn’t appear in my Booking.com app as a requirement when We booked and paid and 2) The fact that they wanted it cash was a problem as we were going to return on the Sunday straight home so what were we to do with the cash. The owners made a special arrangement for us to pay via card (which we appreciated. thank you once again Patrice). We also requested early check/in which they accepted, however, we ran very late and notified them we would arrive at 5pm, which we did. We were only there for 5minutes as we hadn’t had lunch so we were all hungry, and left right away for dinner in Dinan.
During this time, our 7yr old son wanted to climb a tree, such as he does everywhere he goes where he finds a beautiful tree, but the owner chased him out of the tree and he was so scared, he didn’t want to go back to the property. We returned to the cottage at 8pm after dinner in Dinan, and didn’t see the owners to pay the deposit. (which we wanted to do).We wanted to bath our kids and this was where things went wrong as we realised there was no hot water in the property. We eventually put the kids to bed and attempted to figure out why there wasn’t hot water.

Prachtig domaine met mooie grote tuin, dichtbij Dinan.
Kinderen hebben genoten van zwembad en trampoline.
Wij hadden 2 grote kamers.
Brigitte en Patrice zijn fantastische mensen die ons verblijf goed verzorgd hebben met diner en ontbijt.

Les hôtes sont extrêmement accueillants.
Le site est très bien équipé : piscine, terrain de volley, table de ping-pong, jeux pour enfants.
L'accueil pour les cyclistes est idéal : local sécurisé, petit déjeuner, proposition de dîner.
Je recommande et nous y reviendrons sans aucun doute.
