About this house rental
The price displayed is for 6 people, the site makes the quote according to the number of people indicated.
The house can accommodate up to 12 people, you will note that there are 5 double bedrooms.
I prefer to talk to future tenants, who can also ask their questions, which is why I don't opt for automatic booking.
In 2018, the Manoir de La Motte obtained the Historic Label of the VMF: Old French Houses as well as the label of the Heritage Foundation.
Located on the GR 34c, in the calm of nature, the house combines old character and modernity.
Ideal for one, two, three families or friends.
It is spacious, more than 400 m2 spread over 3 levels:
On the first floor: laundry room, toilet, large kitchen with table for 10, dining room with fireplace, table for 10/12, then, entrance and living room with fireplace,
On the 1st floor: A master bedroom with bathroom and toilet.
A dormitory (or double room + 2 single beds) and a large bathroom + shower and toilet.
On the 2nd: 3 bedrooms, one with a toilet, a bathroom, a separate toilet.
For the more homely, it is a haven of peace where you can rest, read, write, work, share board games in peace.
If you pay attention, you may see the deer, the ducks that find refuge on the islets in front of the house, the heron sometimes comes to feed in the river.
Outside, other unoccupied outbuildings.
Large south-facing terrace.
Garden tables and chairs, parasols, deckchairs, barbecue...
The calm, the presence of nature and the old stones of the house provide a real change of scenery, a real rest.
Close to historical sites, a leisure centre, golf courses, the assets of the sea: thalassotherapy, sailing... with possible excursions on the Rance and as far as Jersey or Guernsey from St Malo.

We had an amazing stay - it was perfect to celebrate a family birthday together. Sophie was very helpful during the booking process, and very accommodating with our different arrival times. The house itself was gorgeous! It is so beautifully renovated and full of character. You can see how much time and effort has been put into restoring it, and much more special than any commercial holiday home. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful garden, even into October, but the highlight of our stay was sitting in front of the enormous fire. We could not recommend enough.

This is a unique and wonderful ancient manor house set in the countryside of Brittany. Sophie, the host is kind, responsive and thoughtful. The experience staying there is transformational, inviting you to enjoy a mystical part of France and feel a connection with it's past. We had a great time.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à la Motte. La maison est très spacieuse, et très joliment décorée. Elle est confortable et très bien équipée.
L'accueil est très attentionné. La propriétaire fait le maximum possible pour bien préparer l'arrivée, et sa voisine qui gère l'accueil est très souple sur la procédure d'arrivée et de départ, ce qui a été précieux pour nous, car nous venions un week-end de pont, et qu'il y a eu beaucoup de bouchons sur la route depuis Paris.
La région regorge de choses à faire et à voir. La situation de la maison nécessite d'être motorisée.
En outre, séjourner dans la maison vous permettra de participer de façon très agréable à la préservation du patrimoine, et de découvrir l'histoire des lieux, très bien documentée dans la maison par la propriétaire.

The house is amazing - so old and so unique. It is like living in a museum. Beware of low ceilings but totally worth it. The owner is extremely helpful and hospitable. House is equipped with everything you need and more.
