Villa Son Jil by Interhome

Lovely quiet location although a bit far from the shops for supplies. It’s a shame there isn’t a small local shop. The villa was nice & comfortable though.

There was no where to put the rubbish, we looked for nearby bins in the street but there weren’t any available. Instructions regarding rubbish disposal would be helpful. Parasols for use round the pool would be good too as there isn’t much shade.

the villa itself is beautiful and in a perfect location. size is large enough for a big family and the pool is excellent. The views from the upper floor of the sea is fantastic and gardens surrounding are well maintained.

The air conditioning in the villa is not as advertised. Only two of the four bedrooms had working air conditioning and the master bedroom which we chose for ourselves had a broken unit. The fourth bedroom downstairs had none at all as did none of the other living/dining rooms. The tap in the downstairs bathroom was broken and loose and twizzled around upon our arrival. The upstairs bathroom door handle came off in our hands and we were locked in the bathroom until someone could let us out the other side, The fridge freezer would not get cold enough to freeze ice or keep food cold and had a warning light flashing on & off all the time to show fault . Again, this was upon our arrival. We had filled up the fridge and freezer so were seriously concerned that this was happening. All of these problems were reported to Interserve who maintain the property the 1st morning after our arrival. Workmen did come to sort out all the problems over the next couple of days apart from the master bedroom air conditioning which they said there was no chance of fixing until the following week. We were not happy with this as it had taken them four days to come to this conclusion and we could not sleep with the heat. There is only one portable fan within the villa which we had given to our son and daughter in law as they had the downstairs bedroom without air conditioning facility and they had a baby. We then asked for a fan for our room and they then delivered this to us the next day at 6pm. The following morning we then got back in touch to see if they could progress the engineers to come out as we were feeling so bad from lack of sleep to be told by someone at Interserve that she did not believe us and why could we not sleep as we now had a small fan? Unbelievable attitude and no help whatsoever. We never heard off them again which is really poor. The reason we chose this villa, which was at the top end of our budget was because it was a fully air conditioned villa.
