It’s an amazing property. Blows your mind just entry through the front door! The property is so beautiful and clean and homely feeling, it makes u happy and smiling, the property lives up to the pictures adviced. Glad I booked extra few days. Highly recommend,

Definitely a good choice for a weekend stay.

It’s quirky and was very well equipped & just what we needed for a weekend getaway. Also the bed was super comfortable and we slept brilliantly.

The fleecy blanket on the bed was displayed beautifully but it smelt like a dog had been sleeping on it…. I love dogs but felt I couldn’t use it whilst relaxing on the sofa.

I have stayed before and I love the property, but I think it does need a bit of tender loving care.

There was a broken floor tile and I was concerned my dog would cut he's paws so I had to cover the broken tile. There was also a lump of glass by the sofa and here again if my dog had walked on it, he would have cut his paws or if I had trodden on it I would have cut my foot. I'm not sure if it was on the sofa where someone had broken a glass or was under the sofa.

Good location, very close to the beach and long promenade, for running, cycling or just walking .

Breakfast not applicable, the booking was for visiting family so all cooking etc was at our house or in excellent local restaurants.

There was a distinct aroma of previous smokers, otherwise all was good

The location is first class as I am originally from Harwich it ticked all the boxes

There are a few things that need addressing particularly with the stairs and banister The bathroom had spots of mold in and smelt quite musty. WiFi is hard to connect to you need to go to the bedroom to connect to guest

Brilliant find!

Central location but a wonderful hidden little gem... literally. Great find. The roof terrace was a real bonus! It was warm enough to sit out with a little glass! Very compact and well thought out. Will deffo be back when we're back in the town.

The stairs are quite steep which might be worth mention!

Perfect relaxing break

The terrace was beautiful with the hot tub and the lights at night topped it off. The place was spotless with everything you needed. Paul was very helpful and kind. Would recommend this place to anyone

Perfect stay with fiancee

Lovely stay at the Bakehouse. This place is perfect for child free couples or professionals looking for luxury. The rooftop terrace with hot tub was incredible. Everything was spotlessly clean

The layout was good and very calm area. Locals very kind and chatty.

I fell up the stairs as three of the carpet treads were loose and I didn't realise, got my foot caught and hurt my leg so went home a day early. However the place was really wonderful so would use again.

Lovely little house

Lovely little house, really well presented, hot tub on roof terrace lovely added bonus and very private. All towels and bedding provided and very clean. Robes were a great touch as well. Lots to do in the area within walking distance.

The only thing it was missing were teabags/ coffee and milk on arrival .. not essential but the first time we've come across it not being available so we were not prepared. Wouldn't stop us returning though. The check in instructions were slightly out of date but not a major issue.

Successful holiday break!

Beautiful sweet flat. Warm luxury jacuzzi in balcony with gorgeous night lighting and privacy because owner made special fence to avoid people looking in. beach is just across the road, one minute walk if not less. flat is gorgeously decorated and Paul is easy person to contact relating any questions on property. property has all cooking tools that we didn't use at time but may be useful for others.

No wall clock or any sign of time in the property.

The property was so cute! an absolute hidden gem! Everything you need, all appliances including washing machine and dishwasher and fully equipped kitchen, beautifully decorated and very clean. Added bonus is the hot tub which is amazing after a day exploring, towels and robes supplied also. TV with streaming services, lots of lovely finishing touches. Perfectly situated for exploring harwich quay. two minute walk to the water in either direction, a minute from the station, and a few minutes in the car from Dovercourt.

Beautiful quiet secluded little place, really lovely house. Great furnishings. The owner kept in contact and would have attended to any needs if we had any. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Even the Fish and Chip shop over road was great. Harwich is a lovely sedate area with plenty of history and pubs.
