Hot tub is directly next to a public beach access path, so not great. Hot tub didn’t heat up for a full day, so couldn’t use first night or next morning. House full of flies and spiders. Had to unclog master bathroom sink after washing hands first time. Master bathroom toilet squealed when flushed and continuously squealed starting at midnight on the last night, had to turn of water to it. Fireplace didn’t work and made weird grinding noise when I turned it on. Dishwasher was full of wet, but still dirty dishes, as if it were run but didn’t work.

The house is beautiful, but the listing says there is an ocean view but there isn't. I was very relient on it for my disabled grandmother who can't walk to the ocean. The house also was not very clean. There was urine all over the toilet, there was garbage that blew out from under the couch, and there was 1 roll of toilet paper. It was kind of an inconvenience to pay the amount i paid and wasnt even able to see the ocean from the house. Their are also some broken blinds. We did really enjoy the hottub

Excellent property excelent stay. Hot tub was excellent. Beach is only about 30 yards away with a nice trail leading to it.had the beach to ourselves could walk forever and only come across a few people. If you have little ones bring a baby gate for the stairs. We brought a booster seat for at the dinner table. Short drive to everything in Newport, Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. Yet far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle of the crouds.

This was a start to the Summer get away for us and our granddaughters. The location of the house to the beach, having a hot tub, and being close to town and places like the Aquarium made this house a perfect spot for us. The house fit our group and was very comfy. We will keep it on our list and recommend it to others.

It's a perfect place to stay to relax by the beach and soak in the hot tub after long walks along the beach, close to newport for anything you need. My only complaint would be that the cook ware (pots/pans/colander) were very old and scratched/chipping making me not want to cook with them, i instead used the crockpot that was available. Over all a good place.

This place was fantastic! It was nice to have such great access to the beach, the house layout and amenities lent to a really great beach trip for our family. The host was responsive and check in/ out was easy. We would definitely seek this place out again.

Overall was pretty good. I did notice that the floors in the living room had not been cleaned very well especially by the sofa and the coffee table was literally falling apart. The bedrooms were ample and clean, the hot tub made it worth the stay.

Breathtaking! We took our 3 boys for a surprise night on the beach. When I say on the beach, the private access was phenomenal!! It is a little bit of a hike and the trail getting down to the ocean.. if you’re older or suffer with any physical ailments, I could definitely see it being a challenge. Very steep pathway. The house was extremely clean and just as pictured. It would be nice if the bbq was outside and not in the basement but I’m sure there is a reason for that. My only complaints are that the hot tub was locked and the keys were misplaced. Communication was difficult and the host did not get back to us for several hours and the kids were anxiously awaiting and disappointed. The only other thing I will add is that there was no salt pepper cooking spray ect.. breakfast was interesting..every other vrbo I’ve stayed at comes with cooking essentials. Overall 9/10. Hopefully will be booking again this summer! Gorgeous property with amazing views and bright night stars!!

A couple friends and I stayed here for the weekend… check In and check out process was super easy. The house was clean, but pretty basic.. beds were okay…kitchen not very well stocked… dinning table chairs were pretty dirty. Everything seemed pretty used. The hot tub, cooled down super fast and took all day to heat back up, I was pretty bummed about that. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed with friends and we had a great weekend. Listing was as shown online. Comfortable beds. Kitchen is sparse, we were glad we brought pans and ended up having to buy a sponge and small bottle of dish soap. Check in process was smooth. Location is wonderful, right on the dunes!

We had everything we needed for our stay and home was in a great location to lots of other activities. Short walk to beach was easy and the beach was amazing! The only thing that threw me was that there was no air conditioning (I didn't think to look for AC in the list of options /amenities) and not being from the area didn't realize this is kind of normal -- the house was warm and musty but once we were able to open windows and turn on fans and let the air flow it was a nice temperature inside.

The view of the beach was minimal and the public beach access was a little weird to have people walking in the backyard but it was convenient.

If you plan on cooking here, bring good pots and pans from home, as these items are really rough here. You will also want to bring salt, sugar, oil, coffee, etc. The house had zero of any of these items at the time of our stay. Liquid hand soap was missing, so if you prefer that, you will want to bring it. Thankfully, Instacart does deliver to this location so we quickly ordered what we needed. There is slso a decent grocery store located across the bridge in town. The deck needs work, it appears that they were painting the bathroom and forgot to remove the painters tape before our stay, the front door is tricky to open....you need to push the handle pretty hard and pull at the same time. The hot tub looked clean, but someone in our party ended up with hot tub rash. The good: the beds were comfy, the walk to the beach was nice, it qas a quiet location and we felt safe here. The locals were very pleasant. We walked to the south end to the bay and watched the seals laying on the sand, the beach is very clean.

The location on the beach is very nice. The condition of the house doesn't match the photos in the listing. We booked and paid for 2 nights, but left after 1 night. Our experience wasn't good and the resultant interaction with the property management company was worse. We communicated with 3 different people, got the endless runaround, and overall, in the end, they were unhelpful & defensive. The entire experience was quite disappointing. As a result, we likely won't stay at a Meredith Lodging-managed property again.

We came here to celebrate my best friends birthday. It was a really great stay. Plenty of room for all of us to relax and unwind from a crazy work week. The house itself was beautiful and spacious. We loved that it was right on the beach. Just a short walk. The hot tub was a huge plus. We will definitely rent this home again in the future.

We really enjoyed this home. We had 4 kids (0-6) with us and the decor was great. I didn’t have to worry about moving things out of my toddlers reach but the place still looked great. *THEY COMPLETELY DRAIN AND CLEAN THE HOT TUB AFTER EACH STAY! Amazing. One min walk to the beach. Park across the street. The only downfall are the beds. Super uncomfortable. Hoping owner will replace soon. They’re the only reason we’d look at staying elsewhere next year. Otherwise great spot!

Spacious 3 bedroom home in quiet neighborhood. Lovely to put car in a big garage. Recently updated, fresh and spacious! Wonderful hot tub on the deck where we spent hours! Nothing between this cottage and the ocean - 2 minute walk on path. Only sad part was not being able to actually SEE the ocean from the house - the dunes are too high. But it was still very easy to walk to the beach! Overall very quiet and peaceful!! We will come back!!

This place was great! They had a checkout the same day we were checking in. Even in that short time they made sure the property was spotless. Everything was clean and the house was instantly inviting. Even though it was just my wife and I there would have been plenty of room for 6 people. The kitchen had all the necessary pots, pans, and utensils. The management company Meredith Lodging was top notch. They were helpful even before our stay. The property we were supposed to stay at before this one was horrible. So we called 4 days early to see if we could start our stay early. Even though they were not able to accommodate us because someone was already there, they were helpful and gave us some suggestions on how to get help from VRBO to find some place to stay. We would absolutely stay here or at any of their other properties again.

We booked this room for 6 guests, my boyfriend and myself, his two brothers and their wives. We were the last to arrived and took the room with the bunk beds and this room was so much smaller than the picture led me to believe. Sleeping was very uncomfortable and I heard from the rest of the guests that the bed were not very comfortable. There were few trashcans and we had some difficulty finding the key to the hot tub when we first arrived. I also never found any reference to wifi which was inconvenient for some because their service wasn't as good where we were located. That being said, the view was amazing, the house was beautiful. It would not be easily accessible for someone who cannot climb stairs as the front door has some narrow steep stairs to climb. The open floor plan and giant windows made the living area a great area for us all to spend time together. The hot tub easily fit four so us girls had a great time using it as the boys caught up. The sand on the beaches was so fine unlike some of the beaches in the PNW. We ordered pizza from Grand Central one night which was fantastic! There were few places allowing indoor seating in Waldport, but Newport was a short drive away but Yachats was the real gem during our exploring. If you have never been to this cute town, it is well worth the 5 minute drive. We went Sunday and they were having their farmer's market. There are plenty of cute shops around for gifts. A fresh fish market where we bough crab, shrimp and oyster shooters. The whole town spans the coast and scenic biway. Thor's well was a nice hike with beautiful views/pictures. We caught the game at a local brewery/sports bar and we finished the day having some of the best clam chowder, fish & chips and Liver in onions that we have had in a long time at the Blue Whale. They also have homemade pies that were divine!! Would highly recommend. Overall a very nice vacation, just wish the bed were a little friendlier on our necks and backs.

The house was clean and furniture comfortable All very new, it’s obvious the property was recently renovated. The space worked great for our group of 6. Kitchen had everything we needed, and more. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed daily soaks looking at the dunes. The beach was beautiful and empty! The only negative was the lack of darkening blinds in bedrooms, we got lucky and had beautiful sunny days but the bright sunrise meant for early mornings. Bring a sleep mask and problem solved. Thanks for the great week!
