2 Embankment House

The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. This is a fantastic location. The apartment was clean and the rooms are a good size.

The entrance lobby was shabby, and the main entrance lock was awkward. The balcony — which is a key selling point of this property — was very dirty, and the doors leading to it were in poor condition. The balcony furniture was also dirty and in poor condition. The windows were dirty.

Location, clean and well stocked

The leaving details could do with an update. One instruction said leave keys with Coast & Country, the other said in key box but we had no code to open the key box ( the number on the key ring did not work ? ). Also took us a while to work out where to put out our rubbish. ( Bin store on ground floor was the only description. But the door where we found the bin store said "emergency exit only ?"

Superb location. Well equipped.

Views, location and quite well equipped - but the staff at coast and country are the best

The bed was very uncomfortable and after 3 nights we both had quite bad back pain and even lying on our side hurt our hips etc. As others have said the balcony needs cleaning. Had to buy earplugs as the seagull noise was tortuous - maybe as we were so close to the water and restaurants (Dartmouth appears much less pristine than at our last visit 9 years ago ie there was a lot more rubbish and seagull poo lying around all week). We struggled with the 37 steps up to the apartment but that’s common in Dartmouth if you want the best views.
