The site is beautiful with excellent views, friendly staff, and lots of green. The pitches are well spaced and all facing in a way which makes for privacy including around the hot tub. There is no playground but plenty of natural space for kids to run around and a fairy trail for them to look at. Our lodge was spacious for 4 people and clean. The only recommendation I would make is to bring a few cleaning products if you'd like to go over it half way through your stay. There was a mop and hoover in the cupboard. The decking for the lodge was enclosed so the dog was safe and we followed the dog trail - bring wellies - which she loved. The dog wash has warm water! Kitchen well-equipped with storage space and we loved the fire place. The shower was really hot and powerful as well. From the site we visited Pooley Bridge, Keswick, Whinlatter Forest, Grasmere, and Ambleside. It's a bit of a drive but the views across the hill top roads were amazing. Caldbeck village close by was very pretty as well. We would definitely come back.
