Perfect, far better than I expected

Lovely surrounding countryside with Hadrians wall and the museum nearby

comfortable accommodation with all necessary facilities

Accommodation was a little remote, we thought it would be walkable to the village.. Keylock code given was wrong, luckily the next door neighbour was there and kindly contacted the host to get the correct code

Loved it, and Sophie could not have been more helpful

The only slight negative was the fitting for the shower head. The shower head and shower holder fitting are not compatible. A minor matter but it means you have to hold the shower head while showering

Location, cottage was nicely decorated.

Fly zapper, would have been useful. There was fly spray, but we didn't want to use around food area or the nice decor!

Easy for parking Quiet rural location, but quick drive to shop Cosy and small, good for couple nights we stayed.

Only thing was thin walls, could easily hear neighbours talking through wall.

Beautiful stay in the countryside!

The location was excellent. Easy to find, peaceful and in a very quaint little village. The bed was really comfy and the shower was powerful and warm. The kitchen was very well equipped and the garden was beautiful. I’d definitely come back.

Brilliant base for going to see Hadrian's Wall

Lovely little property, private parking and very clean. Owner was brilliant when we needed help finding the property.

Bit difficult to find, clearer instructions on the site would have been good. Sat nav didn't pick it up so had to call the owner.

Spacious property fully kitted out. Beautiful decor and super comfy beds. Ample parking and wifi included. Incredible value for money - would have happily paid more! Stayed here in place of a hotel as no vacancies. Very glad we did! Everything but shower gel/ shampoo included. I was very impressed with washing facilities and washing machine tablets meaning I could do a quick wash before the final leg! it’s the small things like this that make somewhere special.

There was one tiny little thing that would have made the stay better and that was shampoo/ shower gel. it was at odds with everything else that was provided. Stay was impromptu after a stopping part way home (8 hour trip) and there was nowhere to buy any.

Lovely 3-day break

A very well equipped, clean, and comfortable property that had everything you would need for a short break. The kitchen had all the utensils and equipment required to cook anything, a comfortable living room including TV with plenty of streaming options, good shower, and a comfortable bed.

It was a bit tight on space when the dining table was extended. Would have been nice to have a pub within walking distance, however there were plenty of good options a short drive away.

Good base to explore the Hadrian's Wall if you have your own transport

We were 2 friends walking the Hadrian's wall. As we had our own transport, the property was in a good, rural position, yet close to Brampton where we had our evening meals. The property was clean and comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. It met all our expectations

Spotlessly clean and very comfy place. Lovely character to the building and very cosy. Also really liked how quiet the village was and how easy to find the property was.

A lovely stay, in a beautiful place.

The location was lovely, and the Bothey was very clean. It was well equipped and perfect for our little one night stay.

My only suggestion is some extra little touches like some board games, or some books would be really nice.
