Excellent location. Very clean, very comfortable. Kitchen, lounge and bathrooms excellent and spacious! Comfortable beds. Hosts very helpful.

Bedrooms small so unpacking and surface areas for things limited. Required more than one pillow, hosts kindly supplied. Suggest rubbish bin be bigger in kitchen and supply dish cloth and towels please.

Everything was exactly as described — just like in the photos and listing. The location is excellent: only a short walk from restaurants and nightlife, yet still tucked away enough to stay quiet and peaceful at night. About 10 minutes on foot to the main public transport hub with buses and trams. Fast and reliable internet. Although the bedrooms are very small, the two bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. All instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the house rules were communicated in advance with no surprises. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a city break in Bergen without a car.

It was the first time I’ve encountered a situation where guests were expected to put on their own duvet covers, pillowcases, and bedsheets. The host also places quite a strong emphasis on guest responsibilities: taking out the trash, loading and starting the dishwasher, leaving used bedding and towels on the bathroom floor, etc. To me, this created a slight impression of a lack of hospitality and trust in guests — as if the rules were written for unruly students rather than normal visitors who naturally take care of an apartment :) That said, all of these rules were communicated clearly before arrival, so nothing came as a surprise. I’m simply sharing my personal thoughts about the aspects I didn’t enjoy as much.

Central location and proximity to the city

1. Lots of stairs — there are 50 steps from the building entrance up to the apartment. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing. 2. Low ceilings — the second bedroom is pretty much unusable unless you have small (and short) kids. 3. Strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. 4. Very uncomfortable bed — cheap mattress and flat, unsupportive pillows.
