Great place to stay in Bristol

Great place, bright clean and spacious. Fantastic location, with great amenities.

Could have left instructions for oven and microwave, as it took me a bit to figure out that I had to turn on the breakers to use. Also the shower in my unit only had a small glass divider, so water would get all over floor as no curtains or ways to ensure water didn't splash out.

Disappointing for Junior suite

easy to find . good location .quiet location .although could have done without banging from new carpets being fitted in next door flat at 8am on 2 days.

the smell on arrival in flat. smelt like a public toilet i suspect due to fan in the toilet not working ( not fixed before we left despite report} .very hot inside room {stat said 25 degrees) and unable to turn down to cooler setting and windows only opened a bit( due to safety} i guess but did not help in hot smelly airless room.

Disappointing

Awful bed, we’re irregular, impossible to sleep well and not to think about to rest: it is a joke. The bed had an inclination to one side! It just was an old, broken bed.

Amazing location, lots of taste for the decoration, comfortable, simple and convenient. Lovely staff, discrete but present and helpful. Lovely views of the city roofs and chimneys from the windows.

The bathroom fan runs constantly and is noisy even when the bathroom door is closed. Kind of annoying at night or when reading and so on. I understand the bathroom has no windows but this constant buzz spoils the pleasure. At least for my overly sensitive ears.

Location and neighborhood were great, and the room (studio apartment) was large.

Very depersonalized check in process, £20 charge to access the unit at 2 pm when it was clearly ready, no coffee maker (there was instant coffee but that didn't meet my expectations), no plug in the bathroom for the hairdryer. These are both pretty basic needs.

The process was fine but it required me to register online on the property website and to download an application on my phone, to be able to open the door. That's too tedious and invasive.

Good location, loved the view of the cathedral from my bed. Nice view when drinking coffee in the morning.

The building was beautiful with high ceilings and enormous sash windows. I had a view of the cathedral from my bed in the morning. The quality of the soft furnishings was very good. Nice modern, comfortable design.

The bathroom is in the kitchen. Terrible idea. I wasn’t aware of this when I booked either. Also there was a pile of pillows and bedding left out in the garden which was very unsightly seeing as the garden area was very pretty. The second bedroom couldn’t see the cathedral from bed because the bed was positioned on the opposite wall. A re jig of the furniture could easily remedy that. Most modern apartments have a coffee machine and I think Charlotte Rise would benefit from that. The coffee was terrible and there were not enough milk packets left.

Great location, spacious property and well maintained.

The property was well equipped with good facilities. The beds were comfortable and the living area spacious. We loved the location (not great for parking) as you can only park after 6pm overnight and only get 2 hours during the day. Communication was excellent even when I realised the parking that you could book was 20 minutes away on foot. They gave my complimentary parking (I didn’t use as it was too far) but I appreciated the gesture. I was travelling with two young children and needed more convenient parking. I think they should make the parking being far away clear but they were really great in helping me find something closer.

The floor was not very clean (felt dusty) but they did have slippers there.

Brilliant location and amazing space, much bigger than expected. Very comfortable. Made for a very relaxing retreat for a few days. Will be coming back again.
