I wanted an apartment in the 17th with large rooms and the character and vibe of that arrondissement, and Le Penthouse Guy Moquet proved to be just right. The apartment displays the wide interests in travel and cultures of its owners, which makes it a delight to occupy. The large, central dining room and the funky but utilitarian kitchen are particularly wonderful features. We never waited for the elevator and it was surprisingly speedy.
The bed on the floor was a bit of a shock, but the comfort of the mattress made up for its location. There were a few dust bunnies that emerged from under the furniture in the living and dining rooms, but all surfaces were clean. The location in the Epinettes did not have the charm of the Batignolles proper, but it was well served by multiple bus and metro lines and numerous restaurants within a few blocks.
