Beautiful period property in a wonderful position opposite the lake
Beautiful period apartment with antique furnishings in a large restored villa immediately opposite the lake. All 3 bedrooms had access to separate bathrooms/WC, and one had a large bathtub. Very spacious sitting room and veranda with stunning views over the lake and mountains opposite. Well equipped and came with basics such as herbs, condiments, oil etc. Free parking in the grounds. The beach opposite, across the coast road, was shared with residents of the other apartments, but usually empty, and came with a large selection of seats, loungers and other equipment. Although outside Stresa, it was only a 10 minute walk along the lakeside (we're all in our 60's) passing the excellent, friendly inexpensive LOV bar serving good quality food and drinks by the lakeside. The owner, Carlo, was very helpful and responsive to messages.
There were a few minor niggles, which wouldn't stop us recommending it. The road between the house and lake is very busy and noisy at times, so those in the bedroom which overlooked the lake needed to keep the window and shutters closed at night. The shower cubicles are very small, and would present a challenge to anyone more than a little overweight (but the bathtub is great). The building next door appears to be undergoing major work, but in fairness, it was always quiet by 4pm each day and over the weekend, and the builders didn't play music or create excessive noise.

Property was a stunning building with magnificent views and great access to the lake. Very spacious apartment, with well equipped kitchen
15 minute walk into Stresa, which was fine for us, but others might struggle. Car could be an advantage, especially in exploring the local area.

Amazing flat with great views. Short walk to Stresa which has some lovely restaurants, enjoyed swimming in the lake too! Host was very helpful.
One bathroom was not particularly clean, dust on the lamps in the living room created a burning smell.

Fabulous Italian villa to stay. such a treat.
We loved everything about it, didn’t want to leave! the host Carlo was very helpful and responsive. We were wowed by the very Italian villa and enjoyed our stay immensely. Short walk down to Stresa, ferries etc. Such a fabulous location. Grazie Mille!

I was there for business reason but I can imagine that holiday in such apartment would be great !! close to lake and out of noisy is perfect location for a silent and relaxing stay.

חוויה גרועה מאוד!
הגענו ביום חורפי וקר! לא היו מים חמים במקלחות והוילה עצמה היתה קפואה!! כשפנינו לקרלו בעל המקום הוא היה מודע לבעיית המים במקלחות וניסה לכוון אותנו למקלחת אחת שכן עובדת כמו שצריך אבל לנו זה לא עזר. הבית היה קפוא ונאלצנו להוסיף עוד ועוד שמיכות. אותו קרלו טען שזה החימום המקסימלי שניתן לחמם לפי תו תקן איטלקי. למחרת הסתלקנו מהמקום ולקחנו חלופה באיזור עם מים חמים נפלאים וחימום נפלא (על איזה תקן הוא מדבר בדיוק???). קרלו ביוזמתו הבטיח לזכות אותנו על השהייה הגרועה אך מאז נעלם, לא משיב לפניותינו והגדיל לעשות כשהוא חוסם אותי באגרסיביות לתקשורת בווטס אפ. מובן שלא ביצע כל החזר כפי שהבטיח!! מציעה לכולם להתרחק מהמקום עד שלא ילמד לכבד את אורחיו ששילמו ב"אוף סיזן" 400 יורו ללילה. בושה וחרפה!!!
