Sunny Corner Cottage

The location is good for getting to Filey. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The accommodation has plenty of crockery and glasses and cutlery. (Although this was a mishmash of dinner sets and cutlery sets)

I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness. The light coloured stair carpet is dirty and stained. The rug in the living room is covered in stains. There was no dish cloth provided so I couldn't wipe down the work surfaces. There was no ant bac spray either. The oven smells like old bacon fat so that needs deep cleaning. The window above the stairs was absolutely full of cobwebs. Clearly hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The furniture in the living area is in completely the wrong position. There were no pillow protectors on the pillows - although the pillows were clean and had no stains. The outside table was filthy and it was too big for the small patio area. So we had to move it so we could sit outside. The outside area is not fully enclosed, as this property allows dogs I didn't feel comfortable in letting my dog outside. The entrance to the property is tired. Overall I feel it's in need of a deep clean and a good scrub. Maybe my cleaning standards are higher than others but compared to other holiday accommodation I have stayed in this wasn't good enough for the price we paid. I wouldn't come back to this particular property.

To provide, washing liquid for dishes, basic stuff in the kitchen would be helpful

Location of the property was good close to the beach. Very clean and tidy.

We do love the Bay and have been every year for the last eight years albeit not in this particular accommodation. We found the beds were comfortable, shower was good and the kitchen was well equipped ( could do with a potato peeler)

The cleanliness was disappointing, the stairs carpet is dirty and in desperate need of a deep clean. Inside the main bedroom cupboard/wardrobe had not been vacuumed and there were lots of dark hairs on the carpet (assumed someone had styled their hair in here due to the location of the mirror, not very pleasant!) also in the bedrooms the lampshades above the bed were so dusty you could have written your name in the dust! We have cleaned them for you simply because we didn’t want to sleep beneath them. We also had to empty the dishwasher on arrival and food had been left in the freezer from a previous guest. All of the above could be rectified quite easily and would make this a lovely place to stay and relax. I was disappointed to see the stairs carpet and the lampshades have been mentioned by previous guests and yet still appear to be in the same condition.
