Once you experience the 360 views from the show-stopping windows, bedrooms, and roof deck of this home, you will never want to leave. This home features interior upgrades including new floors, kitchen counters in the full kitchen, new furniture, rugs, and interior paint. Lounge comfortably thanks to the central air-conditioning before heading to the beach or the creek from your private dock (perfect for kayaks, fishing, or crabbing) just steps away. Wash off from your sandy excursions in the outdoor shower. Furnished balconies offer a pristine view of the sunsets there, serving as an ideal way to end your day. There is public beach access with bathrooms at 1563 East Ashley and one without bathrooms at 1587 East Ashley (both just down the street). For a premium surfing spot, try the Folly Washout just a few steps further. Dining, shops, and all that downtown Folly has to offer are just an easy two-and-a-half miles away. Bike or drive just under two miles up the road to Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve and enjoy views of the Morris Island Lighthouse. Downtown Charleston is just under 13 miles from the home and offers historic sites to tour, as well as other activities for a night out.

This home was so welcoming and so cute! The decor was beautiful and the welcome binder is so useful and very straightforward. This place is amazing.

Let me start by saying two things. First, I understand that the house recently sold and probably had a gap in regular services, or at least I hope that’s the case. Secondly, we ended up here because our original reservation got cancelled by the hostess, we needed something ASAP, and this was available. We did not pay full rental price for this house because of that reason. Had we paid full rental price, we would definitely not have been as relaxed as we were with the situations.
When we first arrived, during a survey of the house, we opened the under the counter ice machine, and noticed a small roach on the door. As we walked through, we noticed a few other little flys/insects, but didn’t really think much of it. A night or two later we went to go make drinks and use the ice from that under counter ice machine- that’s when we noticed it was loaded with bugs. Since then, we noticed several more roaches and bugs all in the house, including on one of the beds that was being used.
We contacted Vacasa via their text line, and we’re told that pest control had treated the Saturday prior, and that the cleaning team would come handle the ice machine. We left for the day, and expected house keeping to come clean the ice machine, but when we returned home, it had not been done. I contacted Vacasa again, and she confirmed that the cleaning team apparently did come, but it was very evident that they didn’t actually do the main thing that was needed. I ended up cleaning the machine myself, but not for my benefit, because we definitely were not using that for the remainder of our stay.
Pest control did come back and visit later in the week, and retreated, which was good, but ultimately didn’t help the situation in the moment. We continued to see the roaches, particularly in the kitchen and living room up until we left for check out. Vacasa’s maintenance tech also came and laid some traps, but they did not help much either. Luckily we have family that owns a home on the beachfront just down the road, so the house was really only used in the morning to get dressed, and in the evenings to sleep.
Once the insect issue is taken care of, and a few other knick knacks things are done, the house would be a fantastic place to stay. We particularly loved the rooftop area.
