Ivy Cottage

Brilliant location and a beautiful garden. Lovely dining room with a nice garden view from the window. The bedrooms are lovely although we only used the main double room. The tray of treats was a nice touch. We didn't have any trouble parking opposite the cottage on arrival, but didn't need to move it during our stay.

The wooden garden furniture was very unsightly and did not lend itself to be used for eating outdoors. This was a real shame as the garden is beautiful and we had lovely weather. We found chairs in the shed which I cleaned up but they were not very comfortable and there was no table. The wooden garden furniture needs to be replaced as it spoils the look of the lovely garden. One of the arms of the sofa was really well worn, showing the material underneath which looked unsightly.

The location.was quiet but just a short walk from Helmsley market place with its cafes and pubs. The property was well equipped with all you need for a stay there.

The radiator in the sitting room was working properly and didn't give out much heat so cool in an.eveing..

The location was great, cosy and well equipped and clean.

Washing up in the sink, it was very deep and low.

Warm, comfortable, home from home, excellent location

The fire in fireplace that was not for use. Pointless having it there. The weather was cold and wet. Although the house was cosy, the warm glow of a fire (when it’s there) is what you want when it’s miserable outside
