Aelfor Cozy Cottage

The property was well equipped, comfortable and roomy. The location is good, a short walk to the beach, shops and pubs.

The property was a little cluttered but not excessively so. The very small outdoor area was made even smaller as an old washing machine and some packaging had been left there taking up what little room there was.

Very comfortable cottage. Everything you need is in the cottage. Excellent location close to beach, train station and town centre restaurants and pubs, yet quiet in the evening. Car parking opposite was great. All-in-all, a place we would return to (we've stayed here twice before).

Really nice place. This was our second time staying and would have booked next year but already fully booked. I've found it's the best place I've stayed in the 5 years of holidaying in barmouth.

Warm and cosy with comfy beds. Close to the centre. Christmas decorations were lovely Slight issue on arrival with heating that was sorted within a few hours. Good information pack although needs a sort out to take old info out. Dog friendly.

Bathroom door was broken TV was very small compared to usual home TVs

Lovely, clean and well located property. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive.

The WiFi was very in and out- we had to use our mobile data most of the trip .

Location, cleanliness and coziness. Close to shops, restaurants and both train and bus stations.

Although generally very equipped some basics were in short supply or missing which was a bit tedious....toilet paper, salt, dishwasher tablets for example. But easily remedied with shops at hand!

Lovely Cottage in a great location. Cottage was Cozy and Relaxing with everything we needed. Central to town centre and close to the beach. Will be staying again 10 out of 10.

All good , only thing we would change is the mattress in the bunk beds feeling spring s . And the mattress in the single bed soft too .

Wonderful location. Property has everything you need. Lovely and clean. Hosts were attentive through messages, non-intrusive and you felt they were there if you needed anything at all. Location is perfect, everything you need on your doorstep, so no need to drive. Overall, a truly lovely mini-break!

Beds are slightly uncomfortable, but still a good nights sleep.

The location was excellent, Very close to the town centre, pubs, restaurants and beach everything within walking distance and relatively flat. Car park opposite was also an advantage especially with the free permit. The beds were comfortable and the house is a good size.

The house smelt of damp, and there was damp on the walls in the kitchen and living room. There was mould on the shower head and in the rubber seal and draw of the washing machine. The kitchen equipment was very basic and some dirty. The curtains were very thin and did not fit the windows properly.

Had a lovely time. The cottage is in a great location, only a few minutes walk away from the beach and the town. Very comfortable, spacious, clean and all amenities that you could need. Warm and cosy as per the name! Pete the owner was super friendly, helpful and very accomodating. We had a great time and would highly recommend. Thank you for having us!

Lovely cottage. Great location. Near supermarket, train station, pub, takeaways, not far from the beach, town centre. A parking permit was provided for the car park opposite, which was really handy as we didn't need to use the car during our 8 night stay. The owner, Pete, was kind enough to let us have a late check out, which was really good of him. Owner was extremely helpful, replying to all of my questions. There wasn't much info in the accommodation description which is strange because it's a good property that we'd stay at again in the future. We brought DVDs with us because it said there wasn't any wifi, but there is wifi and Netflix, xbox, etc. Very handy to have a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher at the property. We brought washing powder and dishwasher tablets with us. Washing up liquid and a tea towel were provided. 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel were provided for the 3 of us (we had brought our own towels as weren't sure if they would be provided) but we used the hand towel as a bath mat as there wasn't a bath mat in the bathroom. A couple of toilet rolls were also provided, which is always handy. Would definitely stay here again.

It would have been useful to have hand soap provided in the bathroom and kitchen but we were able to buy some from the supermarket opposite. Kitchen spray would have also been useful for keeping kitchen surfaces clean.
