Heulwen

Good location with dedicated parking. Cottage is a really good size. Well equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, washer, dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Lots of original features including old fireplaces and coving. Outside space was nice to have.Lovely paintings on walls. Iron and board and hairdryer was provided which was fab. Host was very helpful and responsive.

Peeling paint in back bedroom and hallway was messy. Some mould in areas as shown on photos. Front entrance was unfinished and smelled of plaster. Lighting very dark in dining room. Only small opening on any of the downstairs windows made it very hot despite being mild weather and had to have doors open which wasn’t ideal. Could do with some fans. Would have preferred cotton sheets as would have been cooler. Sofas are too small to relax on and some cushions would have been nice.

Stayed at Heulwen property last weekend and it was perfect for 4 of us. We had mountains and the seaside and the property is just a couple of minutes to a beautiful beach and a short drive and you are jn a Eryri National Park. The property is clean and spacious and in a great location with a good size private parking for our two cars. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for having us.

Great location, parking a bonus. Heating in property was excellent,nice carpet also. Views great.

Beds terrible, felt every spring in main bedroom mattress so moved to other room and only a marginal difference. Bedding very thin, worn and cheap and stained, needs replacing for better quality bedding and pillows which again were thin and cheap. TV very old and complicated free view, nowadays surely a smart tv would be provided. Rear patio area needs tlc, broken and cracked slabs which are a trip hazard and weeds, could be such a nice area, but needs a parasol and furniture that isn't rusty and seen better days. Kitchen obviously done on a budget, worktop lifting, kickboards not fixed in. Hosts requirements are to clean, yet no products provided at all, ie hob cleaner, etc. Front porch has serious issue with damp, plaster coming off and smells of damp.
