A week in Sheffield for a family celebration, great retreat to return to each evening.

Lovely location and very comfortable, central heating kept the house nice and warm when returning from cold days out!

Enjoyable stay in Sheffield

The house was clean, comfortable and warm. We were offered both early check in and late check out which were good. The shower was good. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as was the lounge. The WIFI worked well and it was easy to connect. I would return to this property if I was to be in the area. The hosts were helpful and friendly It was easy to park close to the house. There was an Asda store just up the road and the Pie café did a cheap breakfast.

The locks on the front and back doors were a bit difficult to open and lock. The keysafe was located at the back of the house, if I had not read what people had said in the reviews I may have been a bit confused about how to get in. it was a bit uneven at the back and the property would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. The plug on the bath did not seem to work, the water escaped so could not be used. A few more glasses would be good as only enough for 3 people.

Overall flat could have been cleaner, needs to be modernised. Bathroom rly needs to be modernised. One of the bedroom doors needed fixing, made lots of noise whenever opened in the night.

Ideal property for a weekend or short stay

Good location for visiting the area. Great communication from the owner. Had all the equipment and facilities needed.

Not a dislike as such as it didn't impact our stay but the stairs are very steep and unsuitable for those with restricted mobility.

Inexpensive accommodation in Walkley

The bed in the attic was VERY comfortable, though set quite low to the floor. The double bed on the first floor wasn't quite as comfortable and was a bit squeaky. We had a toddler with us so appreciated the kiddy books left out by the host and the high-chair. THe property is very close to South Road with its shops and cafes: an inexpensive breakfast can be had at the Pie Shop which also does a tasty cheap lunch!

There were some concerns around safety, given we had a 20-month old toddler with us. There was a door to the cellar which needs a small lock fitted to it, to prevent children from opening the door and tumbling down. The approach tot he property (at the back) was very uneven with broken up tarmac: a trip hazard when carrying a child and/or for all at night. The back door lock was temperamental: the key needed much wiggling to lock the door. THe travel cot could do with an extra (deeper) mattress. The original mattress is only good for these cots when the baby is very small and light (toddlers need an additional mattress installed).

Lovely house in need of slight TLC. Perfect location for city centre - less than 15 minutes drive

The property was lovely and clean with good facilities. Beds were very comfortable and fans provided to keep cool during hot nights. Photos on booking.com were a true reflection of the house.

The stairs, especially to the loft room, are VERY steep. Someone with mobility issues may struggle with these. Parking was also a slight issue, having to park quite a way from the house and walk up a steep hill. Some TLC required e.g oven handle is loose, carpet on landing possibly trip hazard. Air-fryer in the kitchen would have been very handy.

3 bedroom cottage in good location for Sheffield visit

Location at the north edge of Sheffield was easy to get to from the M1. Great for Peak District and walked into city centre a couple of times, but buses were available. Ling was very kind and let us check in an hour early. Key box on back door down left hand side alley. Free parking on street. House warm and perfect for our visit. Communication with Ling was excellent. Local park 10 minutes away with good facilities.

This beautiful property was perfect for our family to meet up and stay in for an event in Sheffield. It’s clean and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. It worked out cheaper to rent this between us rather than get separate hotel rooms, and this way we could all eat and relax together.

The only downside could be that the stairs are very steep, especially to the second double bedroom. One of our family has bad mobility so struggled up and down. But that can’t be helped in a typical terraced house.

Very good

Great location. Quiet street and neighbours. Great communication, fast replys to my emails. It was very clean. Lovely fire place and wood doors. Very cool inside when it was hot out. Nice shower. Memory foam beds. The beds were king size. Lovely view from the small bedroom. Always managed to park easily at the front of the house. Lots of space in the bedrooms. Bedside lamps. Lots of hangers. Red sofa very comfy.

If I'm being really picky, what would make this a 10/10 would be - it's a little rough around the edges, peeling paint outside, decorating is a bit slap dash, sheets could have smelt a bit cleaner, there was the odd cobweb and stains on the duvets. It was hot while we were there so we took the duvets out of the covers, that's how we saw the stains. Cobwebs were up high and in fire place. These things would be easily fixed. The silicone in the bath needs re-doing, it's a bit mouldy. Top floor is very warm on a warm day and the windows only open at the top so don't let much air in, saying that though it was unusually hot when we were there and the house was very cool when it was very warm out. The "garden" is a small yard shared and scruffy. Getting the keys in the door can be tricky and the back door is through the alley to the left of the front door then all the way to the right, a bit tricky to find.

Nothing everything was bad

House was unkept and owner took 40 minutes to let us In and refused to give us the code as if he was trying to keep us out on purpose I do not recommend this stay.
