Staff and Lady at the check in were excellent and very helpful. I stayed with my son for sightseeing and hiking. The set breakfast and dinner that were included in the price were great.
Was very happy with the hotel the toilet and bathroom in the bedroom were quite small if you are a taller person

The location and views is excellent, we arrived in the evening to a misty lake but in the morning sunshine the mountains and lake came in to full view. A short walk from the Kegon Waterfalls and the souvenir shops. What was outstanding were the meals, 6 courses in the evening and a full breakfast, all very high quality with a mix of European and Japanese cuisine. The onsens were very nice and could be booked for private sessions.
The bathrooms in the rooms were rather outdated and not very comfortable to use.
