Guest House Katić

Warm and welcoming host who checked in every day, offered to do our laundry, and made us Croatian crepes. She made us feel at home and like locals, even provided welcome gifts of wine, juice, water and cherries. Great location, short walk to Pile Gate/Old Town, bakery/grocery store/burger place and scenic view. Next to and near bus stops. Wonderful 2.5 rooms (living room, bedroom, kitchenette), bathroom, and balcony with views of Old Town walls and towers. Excellent AC and warm water. Lots of towels and toilet paper. Small but functional kitchenette. Guest House is not cheap but is bigger than many other places we looked at and proved to be an excellent value!

There was nothing we didn't like. Guests should be aware that you must climb stairs from Old Town up to Guest House, and within Guest House. This was not a problem for us, and is part of the Dubrovnik experience. Our wonderful host spoke only a little English, but we managed to communicate well-the respondent via the Booking.com messanger communicated perfectly in English. One suggestion would be a better cutting knife for the kitchenette.

The hosts Jana and Ostic allowed us to check in quite early which was wonderful as my wife was suffering some road weariness after a month of traveling. The suite had everything you needed and an amazing deck that looked over the old fort and the sea.

It’s ok for short stays, but not for longer ones. The room is quite small.

The house is really cute and the bed is really comfy!

The lighting in the rooms could be better
