Excellent stay!

My partner and I are in love with Kitty! We were a little worried about the space but we are both 6ft and the bed was very comfortable! The cooker, fridge and provisions were great so we were able to self cater. The chickens and roosters were adorable, strutting in the gardens and we were also able to hold them. The showers were hot and toilets were very clean and well maintained. Felt like a luxury on a campsite. A taste of the simple life, will definitely return.

Basic, overpriced caravan. Disappointing

The bed was very comfortable. The hosts were friendly. The shower facilities and toilet facilities were spotlessly clean.

The caravan was left wide open and noone there able to meet and greet. The caravan has draughty window, some of which will not close due to broken latches; some lights do not work; clothes cupboard which is quirky to open due to damaged latch... 3 of us could not work out how to open the cupboard, and only able once the host returned and demonstrated how; not possible to close the curtains as nets were on the same line, privacy was not guaranteed ; water that runs on an electric pump, the switch of which is hard to find... and I didn't trust the water quality; the door was warped so was also draughty. The caravan was showing every year of its age and not suitable as accommodation for a holiday. The WiFi was patchy and I was only able to access Internet on one day of my stay.

A really special place with excellent hosts!

Kitty is very unique, perfect for 1 person. It’s very well decorated and the bed is very comfortable. Liz and Mike are excellent hosts, they couldn’t do more for me and went above and beyond to make my stay special. They’re very knowledgeable about the local area and have good connections to the community such as pubs, farm shop etc. They keep the site and grounds clean and tidy and one of them is usually around to assist if needed.

It’s not practical to use the water tank inside Kitty, it makes more sense to do dishes in the utility area. Also there is no toilet however the toilet and showers are very close by. Mildred the turkey isn’t always friendly, but there wasn’t much I didn’t like.

Great location. Excellent facilities. Brilliant hosts. Nothing was much trouble for them. They even offered to let us use a room in their own property as we were there for a wedding. Liz was very knowledgeable about the local area and told us lots of places to visit. it was totally a family friendly and we would definitely go again and recommend it. It’s also a place where you can take dogs. The showers were hot as they said they would be and there was also a hair dryer in the shower room. The utility room had a washing machine and dryer if it was needed. It was a very happy place.

Cozy caravan in a lovely area

a very quaint cozy little caravan that was styled with great care, and equipped with all the things you need. The radio with the local weather forecast was a nice touch. The outdoor seating with a fire pit in the garden was fantastic. Our host was very friendly and welcoming.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay, but to make it a perfect glamping experience, a comfier mattress would be great (it felt as if it was a bit saggy), especially if you stay more than a few nights

Gorgeous

Absolutely amazing!! So close to loads of beaches and gorgeous coastal walks - the caravan was so cosy and comfortable too. No problems sleeping whatsoever! Would book again in a heart beat. The facilities are the nicest I’ve seen on a campsite too! Always smelt so clean. Will be back again for sure :)

It was a perfect stay.

Caravan was clean and comfortable. Had everything you would need to cook a yourself a meal. Chairs and a table are under covers so you can sit out in the evening, even in the rain as it’s Cornwall. Bbq is provided if you fancy some burgers. Washing facilities and toilets are very close by. Showers were warm and even provided some shower gel and shampoo if you needed them. Owners of the campsite was brilliant, helpful and friendly soon as we arrived. Always had a smile and was happy to help you with anything. Great with kids and showing them the animals. Campsite is very close to the lizard so is walkable if you fancy it. Coves and beaches are only a few miles away. Chickens do run freely throughout the day which was lovely to see. They cause no warm and are friendly. One of our favourite parts of the site. We have already sorted out getaway for next year at the site. Would highly recommend you staying at this great campsite for your next holiday.

Liz and Mike are fabulous hosts and nothing is too much trouble. I shall miss them very much. Kitty was everything you could wish for and more. I heartily recommend this site to anyone considering going on holiday to Cornwall, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Liz and Mike for everything.

Kitsch and Pretty Kitty

Idyllic location on the Lizard peninsula and the caravan itself is absolutely adorable. Very kitsch and quirky and the bed was really comfortable. The shower and washing facilities were only next door from the caravan and we may have slightly overpacked, as Kitty is fully equipped with everything you'd need inside. Really well situated on the peninsula, with numerous attractions only 10-15 minutes drive away (such as Mullion Cove/Kynance Cove) and some accessible on foot. I also have to mention the chickens and turkeys (big love to Brenda and Co) . When we arrived, Liz had a bunch of baby chicks running around outside Kitty and most of our stay was spent essentially grooming them with pieces of digestive biscuit and crumbled cheddar. I named one Heston and, not to be dramatic, but I'd die for him. Please find pictures below. Overall amazing stay!

Kitty is a great little caravan located on a lovely site with good, clean showers and toilets. It was nice to sit out in the evening with the chickens and turkeys running around. I will be looking to visit again in the future

Whole caravan covered in cob Webb's dead snail covered in cobwebs curtains didn't close damp bedding and pillows door didnt shut properly.big bits of glass of left in the grill stay was horrible left at 4am and had to book into another hotel messaged the lady no apologies nothing.

Perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

Really nice site, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Fire wood was provided for the fire-pit on arrival. Board games were available in the caravan and there was a good selection of books to borrow from the communal area. Liz and Mike are the perfect hosts, always on hand for a chat and to recommend places to visit.

Pleasant

The location is a 45 min walk to the sea. The owner is very nice and helpful. It's nice to eat breakfast outside and look at hens, roosters and turkeys, but they are not afraid of people and can even jump on the table, you have to be careful because they also enter the interior of the caravan. For us, this place was good but a bit crowded and three nights is too long

The bed is too short my partner is 182 centimeters tall and after one night his knees hurt because he could not straighten his legs from the side of the caravan. There is a henhouse next to the caravan. the roosters drank from five o'clock in the morning constantly one after the other, it makes it impossible to sleep normally because the windows and walls of the caravan are thin and everything can be heard as if we were inside with these hens and turkeys.

We had a lovely 4 night break in the 60s caravan. The bed was small but very cosy we slept so well! We especially loved evenings around the fire pit and my personal favourite was the Turkeys! Bridget the turkey and her tiny chick where so sweet roaming free all day around the caravan along with some chickens and young turkeys. I especially loved the young grey male turkey who loved a cuddle and fell asleep on my lap while relaxing outside one afternoon. The owners where very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Some people may not like the cockerel waking them up in the morning but it did not bother us at all it just added character to the already lovely setting and he made us laugh a lot cockadoodling around the place!

Amazing place to stay at, 100% recommend

This was our first camping like experience and we absolutely loved it! The caravan is very cutely decorated, has a seating area, small kitchen and a large bed which is all you need really! To be slightly picky the bed could have been more comfortable to make things perfect but I can't complain as everything else more than makes up for it! The outside area with a fire pit was amazing - can't think of a better place to rest after long days exploring the Lizard and surrounding areas. The chickens running freely, singing birds and all the greenery just made it a very nice get away from your normal day to day life! Bathroom facilities were good and clean. The hosts are really friendly. Last thing to mention is the location of this place - perfect for exploring the Lizard!

Kitty is well located, close to facilities. Shower Rooms are fabulous ♡. Love the chickens. Mike helped me at 11.30pm when I locked myself out!!

Cob webs over the bed, but I wiped them away. Few light bulbs not working. Not too sure about the mop in the Shower Room... not very hygienic. Maybe offer recycling and waste stations. And put wood for fire by caravan so it stays dry.

Location was ideal for walkers and quiet to easily relax, many big landmarks short drives away Lands end Lizard point aswell as lovely beaches within walking distance, owners were lovely people: hospitable, maintained facilities to high standards and had many different animals from dogs, Guinea pigs, baby turkeys full grown turkeys, baby chickens and a lovely rooster that gave you the best wake up call in the morning. All around perfect stay! :) would definitely go again and try out all the other accommodations availiable, shepards hut, cottage and luxury caravans, but doesn't detract from Kitty Caravan which was a quaint gem brilliantly restored & maintained here.

Absolutely loved our stay. The 1960 caravan was beautifully decorated and in a great location to spend our 2nd wedding anniversary. Really lovely family running the site, it was like a home from home and Liz would always make guests feel welcome to ensure they had the best holiday. Wonderful place

Just returned from a wonderful week at little trethvas, we stayed in kitty the unique 1960’s caravan . The caravan was exactly what we hoped for , very clean and cosy, the bed was super comfy, also had a fire pit , which was nice to be able to sit by at night and have a few drinks . The hosts Liz and Mike were brilliant , very knowledgeable of the local area , and couldn’t have done more to make us feel more welcome. Bridget (the turkey) and Spike (the cockerel) plus Dolly (the hen) and all their friends roam around you freely , and are very tame, Liz does hen cuddling for the kids every night . The toilet and shower blocks are very clean, and cleaned regularly everyday. The location of little trethvas is perfect for exploring the beautiful beaches and coves of the lizard. Would definitely recommend this brilliant place, we have booked to go back in November for 1 week , and can’t wait .😀 Thanks for a wonderful week Liz and Mike see you soon xx
