Nothing, it was terrible
Property was dirty, it smelt and was filled with cobwebs and spiders. I left the property after 20
Minutes and had to find alternative accommodation.

The property was in a nice and cozy place , the owner was very caring, welcoming, helpful and even took us for buying groceries in her car and a visit to our friends who lived a mile away, offerred a lift back to train station as it was far and time consuming in bus. She even washed and ironed our clothes , lovely she was.
The hens made me feel back home.
The owner was literally very good , Chatty and hospitable , always attentive and helpful even offered an extra free day stay if we wanted to.
Made our trip amazing by guiding us on trails around the area.
Needs towels , toileteries and iron.
Cleanliness of the cabin needs working on.
The wooden chairs in the garden very weak , good for display but I had a fall as the chair broke, maybe a display not to sit on those chairs may make it safer or needs replacing.

The location
It wasn’t suitable for my dog.
There are free roaming chickens and turkeys that roost, perch on the shepherds hut porch. We couldn’t relax as our dog was trying to get to them. We even had to sleep holding on to his lead to stop him trying to get out the door to them. The doors latch wasn’t very secure either…
The turkeys and chickens poo on the porch and where the water bottle is.
We didn’t know about them until after we booked and had a no cancellations booking… we had no idea how close they would be to the hut.
There wasn’t any WiFi the one we were given doesn’t reach the hut and didn’t work.
The hut was very damp in places and wasn’t in great condition.
We left after one very fraught uncomfortable night. The hut was also past the no dogs allowed signs which is crazy that the hut is advertised as pets allowed. It totally wasn’t suitable and we have only been offered 25 euros compensation!! Fuming!!

Loved location bang in the middle of cornwall so everywhere you would want to go was no more than an hour away so ideally placed for seeing some of the key areas of cornwall. Bed was very comfy, plenty of cushions and blankets for my partner but not too many that I was boiling as I dont like to be smothered. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and always willing to help in any way so will come again for definate but maybe try one of the other accomodations. Also some freshly laid eggs from the chickens was left when we arrived and thought that was a lovely touch.
Our accomordation (shepherds hut) was i would class as a bit dirty maybe bordoring on run down. A proper spring clean and a lick of paint is all this place needs. Maybe a new set of draws (the ones we had left some mould on our clothes) and sort out some of the wiring. Sadly when we first arrived we encountered plenty of cobwebs so before we unpacked we had to spend an hour or 2 wiping surfaces down and cleaning cups and eating utencils etc (there was cheese left on the grater from a previous guest) . Something to note the hut itself has no running water so you have an approx 25 litre water bottle that you have to fill from an outside tap. Depending on how much tea you drink and washing up you do and what the weather is like this could be a bit of a bother.

Well cared for, adorable animals in such a safe environment.
We had the privilege of sharing the shepards hut garden with them. ( or shared their garden/ bless them.)
Knowledgeable and very friendly proprietors providing a high standards of care and support for thier guests.
They actively encouraged respect towards all other holiday makers.
Having to leave.

The breakfast in the coast bar at lizard village were good value and very tasty , the location is beautiful with stunning views in the area ,some of the coves beaches and cliff tops walks are magical the campsite which liz and Mike own is great young kids will love it on there with the chickens an turkeys shower facilities were excellent and clean will definitely be going back
If your going out on days out take drinks with you as all shops charge between £2 to £3 for can of coke ,fanta, bottled water paid £8 for 2 bottles which is surprising as food around the area is great value

Lovely location, quiet small campsite. Disappointing Shepherds hut in need of renovation and better facilities.
Gas ring very low flame, inadequate to boil or cook easily. Shared showers with a lot of people

The pictures are deceiving, it's not cosy and peaceful, as you drive in the hut is right there, on driveway, straight opposite the owns noisy house and very close to the next van, I don't mind the chicken/turkeys but when they are roaming around and walking into you hut (at least 30 of them) didn't find that relaxing, theres no running water only a plastic water container which sits outside in the sun, how you supposed to drink that in the heat I don't know, to top it off husband sat on chair in the hut and it collapsed underneath him and hurt his back, hence we decided not to stay, we paid good money for a cosy break which was nothing but!! We have contacted the owner but keep getting ignored

The Shepherds hut was small, but cosy. The bed was really comfortable and it was lovely to sit outside and then in the evenings to light a fire (eating a Chinese Take-away!)
Water was available immediately outside the hut (but no running water in the hut); however, it was all part of glamping and made you more humble!

Thank you to Liz and Mike for such a wonderful holiday in the Shepherd’s Hut. The Shepherd’s Hut has everything you need to escape the daily grind for a week. Super cute and very romantic, it’s true escapism - just what we needed after 15 months of working from home! Showers and toilets are nearby and extremely clean and tidy, parking is in front so you can nip to the car to fetch things no problem, and the site is so quiet and rural. There is wifi but would advise downloading tv shows or books before you travel just to be on the safe side. But who needs tv when Liz showed us some truly beautiful local walks! We made memories that will last a lifetime. Can’t wait to come again.

The location was easily accessible and we didn't struggle to find it, as it's close to the main road. The place was quiet, the amenities were clean and the hut looked nice. My wife loved the chickens walking free around the place and the vibe of the place and I liked how the hut had everything you needed. The showers, toilets and utility room were clean and tidy.
The hut does look nice and cosy, but it could use a bit of tlc. The bed sheets were stained with blood and other stuff, the whole bed smelled horrendously up to a point where we couldn't take it any more and we had to leave one day early.
One of the spot lights fell from the ceiling after a gust of wind closed the door behind me.
The place needed a good clean, with mould around the windows and dead flies and bugs all over the place. The host seemed nice, on the phone, but we've never seen her and we were not asked why we are leaving 1 day early

Nice and quiet and peaceful with easy access to local facilities. Hut was cosy and comfortable and exactly what was needed for a relaxing long weekend away.
