Bed was comfy. Compact accommodation. Shower ok.

On a country road with fast/noisy cars from 6am-23pm. I booked thinking it was a cottage next to the owners home -according to the website- actually it is, but on a camp/touring site with other accommodations which wasn’t what I expected. Our accommodation was attached to the shower/toilet block and our bathroom had the gas boiler for the shower in it which was noisy when anyone had a shower- midnight!!! And the light came on flooding into our room. We could not get on the WiFi at all for the 5 days there- even though we were right next to the owners cottage and they gave us their own password! We had 2 different providers but couldn’t get on it at all. It was just annoying when we wanted to research places to visit/ how long it would take us to get anywhere. Liz and Mike said unusual but having seen other reviews it’s obviously not. TV also nightmare as just kept going of or switching on in the middle of the night. Got fed up having to ask Mike to set it up again. Info on how to work it would be helpful. The website says air conditioning/ washing machine/ tumble dryer but none of these at this accommodation- I’m assuming we would you the laundry room for the camping site ???

A great cosy little cottage. Brilliant location in the lizard peninsula. The accommodation had everything you'd need for a getaway in a rural location, the hosts were also super welcoming and made us feel very much at ease!

Road was next to bedroom, No Internet at all, lots of cobwebs behind bed and dead flies in patio windows, some of the cooking utensils were rusty,(frying pan) especially, no keys were provided to lock doors when out, few nights of night flying from Culdrose

There were no keys for the property as they said it was safe to leave the property open. The location was perfect for all we wanted to do. The walks from the camp were beautiful and the owners were lovely. The kitchen and bathroom areas were very clean.

We went in April so early in the season. The cowshed smelt very damp even though we did have a heater and lit the log burner a couple of nights. The owner did explain it would be damp due to the time of year and rainfall. Sofa cushions smelt very damp. There was also noise from the road as the cowshed backed onto the road. I felt the cottage could have been cleaner behind the bed and other areas.

Only thing wrong was advertised as having WiFi in all areas, there was no WiFi we could only get a signal on phones if we went in to the garden ,on some days we could not use phone at all ,also we could not use laptop, and no wardrobe otherwise it was all good, nice friendly couple,

Lovely place to stay, cottage was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Liz the owner was so friendly and welcoming and we loved the chickens and Turkeys there.. great location near to all the places around the lizard we wanted to visit. Highly recommend staying here would definitely return again. 🙂

Perfect RnR

Cow Shed Cottage has everything you need for a fantastic stay, clean tidy and very pretty inside, log burner in case you get a bit chilly also an electric rad, The Lizard is very humid it has its own micro climate, some people were moaning its damp, it’s not,its the high humidity, keep a window open and it’s fine, was spacious for two of us and our fur babies. Clean bedding and towels supplied, toilet rolls to get you started, patio is fenced off, lovely to sit has have a drink in the evenings also has a fire pit. Central to all the tourist spots and also for exploring the coast line, we spent 2 fantastic weeks here, Liz and Mike the owners were lovely, they worked 24/7 to keep people happy and make sure they were making wonderful memories, They were very patient and were marvellous with the kids on site, Chicken and Turkey bedding down at night, when everyone can hug a chicken, everyone loved it and all gathered at 8:30pm for the experience, would go back in a heart beat, we went to Cornwall this year instead of ibiza with all the restriction, We normally go abroad twice a year staying 4* and 5*, didn’t regret not being able to go one bit. Came home totally relaxed and ready to go back to the grind of work. Thank you Mike and Liz ❤️

Nothing not to like, it’s a converted cow shed on a farm, very nicely done, just what we wanted. The description on the booking agents pages I think are generic and not been changes since before Covid, the only thing I thought was there but wasn’t was a hair drier so stupidly I didn’t take mine, sure Liz would have supplied one, she was like Mary popping with the stuff she was providing, as they did have some needy guests, how they managed sometimes to be so friendly and nice to everyone! I take my hat off to her and I manage a large workforce of men.
