Regina's Banyuls Terrace apartment

Excellent downtown location, a few steps away from the beach, cafes and shops. Quite location. No noise from the waterfront street or neighbors. Nice terrace with a view of the surrounding roofs, mountains and even a glimpse of the sea. Windows on the sides - a nice draft cools the apartment, with no A/C in the bedrooms.

The bathroom is tiny and poorly planned and fitted out. Apparetly sewage problems, as an unpleasant smell is constantly present in the bathroom. Hard to manage with no separate toilet. The bedding is rather uncomfortable with narrow single beds that can hardly be kept together if you need a double bed for two persons - they keep sliding apart. The kitchen is fitted with an old-fashioned hob that takes ages to warm up and is not exactly safe as it stays hot for a long time after being switched off. No private washing machine - a shared laundry for the four apartments in the block. No elevator - you need someone strong to carry the suitcases up to the top floor. No private parking space - you have to look for parking options in the town. Poor instruction for getting a tourist parking subscription neer the railway station. We ended up paying at an hourly rate although we do sprak French. Make sure you know what you are doing before you take the ticket and park your car.
