Villa Helxis

Modern and nicely presented overall. Lots of space. The pool was super. We all really liked it. Service from the rental company was excellent - great communication at all times and replaced a faulty coffee maker within an hour or two after making contact with them.

Location-wise it was a little awkwardly situated and part of a one-way loop system which meant for one elderly member of our group it was difficult. The walk to SKYVIEW (a local tourist site with amazing views) was up a steep winding hill - which was doable for the younger members of the group - and it was easy to get to by local bus for our older member but difficult for them to get back. (That being said, if you were happy to do a bit of a hike or to use the local buses it was totally workable.) No dishwasher. The water from the main kitchen sink was milky which meant we had go to the kitchen in the basement apartment to clean dishes - which was not ideal. There was also a problem with the electrics which meant we couldn’t get the lights on the outside terrace seating area to come on (the electrics in the house tripped whenever we tried). There were only 4 sunbeds at the pool but the house sleeps 6 people (there were 5 in our party) and one of the sunbeds was ripped. WiFi only worked in the main lounge.

Wir (vier junge Männer) haben drei Tage in der Villa Helxis verbracht und können nur sagen: absolut top! Alles, was man braucht, war da. Die Villa war super sauber, der Pool hat einwandfrei funktioniert und sogar abends war er beleuchtet – richtig angenehm. Bei der Ankunft hat man uns direkt Handtücher mit Sonnencreme rausgelegt, dazu gab es draußen sogar eine Dusche, was nach dem Pool mega praktisch war. Insgesamt standen uns drei Toiletten und zwei Duschen zur Verfügung, was bei vier Leuten echt Luxus ist. Besonders cool: im Keller gab es quasi eine eigene kleine Wohnung mit Küche, Esstisch, eigenem Duschraum, Toilette und Schlafzimmer. Für uns perfekt, da einer von uns ziemlich laut schnarcht – Problem gelöst. 😅 Wenn wir überhaupt etwas anmerken müssten, dann wären es die Kopfkissen – die waren für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hoch, sodass man schnell mal mit steifem Nacken aufgewacht ist. Aber das ist wirklich Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Alles in allem war es ein großartiger Aufenthalt und wir würden die Villa Helxis sofort weiterempfehlen!

Nur die Kopfkissen waren alle zu hoch :)

Brilliant facility, modern lovely villa. Clean and spacious perfect for our needs for a few days before travelling onto Albania.

Poor WiFi but they did try to sort it out. Problems with the air conditioning.
