Was ok but need bedding to be vlean

The studio appeared clean.

The toilet was blocked however the handyman sorted it the next day. When I stripped the bedding when we were leaving i found the duvet and mattress topper had a lot off stains, if I had known that I would have selpped on the floor it was disgusting. You need to clean bedding.

There was no Breakfast

The lack of amenities in the bathroom. Only had liquid hand soap. No breakfast or mention of it in any correspondence.

The only aspect, that wasn’t entirely satisfactory was the bed pillows, too hard, resulting in strained neck.

Highly recommend

The lodge itself was better than expected. Had everything we needed & the size just adequate. The parking was very convenient outside the door. Had smart tv, a fridge, large shower & all accessories you'd need. Decor very modern & compact.

We had to clean one of the bedside units as had a sugery residue left on it. Otherwise very happy.

Not much.

A very loud alarm in a room above me went off at 6am and stayed on for an hour. I don't know what the alarm was but it was utterly infuriating. The management must have known about it but never offered me an apology. The bathroom tap is the worst thing ever made - I accidentally sprayed water all over my clothes just trying to wash my hands. I've never seen anything designed so badly.

The electric towel rail was not working. We were told it needed an electrician but nobody turned up.

Overall a pleasant experience but could use additional amenities and upgrades.

Facilities were clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and helpful when any issue arose.

One of the rooms we stayed in could have used some upgrades, and there could have been a few extra amenities (i.e. appropriate amount of kitchen dishes and drinking glasses, paper towels, etc).

nice place to stay

Location was great for us. it was very clean and nicely decorated. comfy bed. was nice and warm as well. good tv and Wi-Fi. good shower too.

not the owners fault - but kettle was broken, and although we were offered another one it was too late as we were leaving that morning! we used the microwave instead! people staying above us came in at 2.20am and were shouting and dragging furniture around! pillows were just awful though, hard and lumpy! we will stay again but will choose another lodge, detached and no one staying above us!

Southernwood garden lodge 10.

These little lodges are a fantastic place to stay. So much better than a b&b, staying in someone else’s house. They are fully equipped, kitchen sink, hob microwave and fridge with a fresh pint of milk ( no little plastic pots here) which is a complete bonus. The lodges are spotless and the bedding and towels provided were equally so. The bathroom was clean with a lovely power shower, better than the one at home! There is also an outside veranda and your own front door, very big plus points. It is a very quiet spot and at night we heard owls which was just lovely. There are also some beautiful birds of prey I believe were red kites or possibly buzzards and we had the privilege of seeing them dive down to pick up their food, just breathtaking. We also had the good fortune to meet our host and may I say what a lovely gentleman he was, we didn’t need anything but I’m sure if we had we would have been well looked after. All in all a fantastic stay and we are looking forward to visiting again next year. Excellent value for money and I am sure for the price (or even more expensive)you will not find a better place to stay. Look forward to seeing you again.
