Great place to get away in the Cornish countryside.

It was great to be able to stay with all the family in one place and close to beaches.

It was a lovely cottage in the countryside and so peaceful. There was everything you needed even fresh milk in the fridge and a packet of biscuits which was a lovely touch. Plenty of room for 8 people with enough seating in the lounge area. I would recommend the Shippon for a great stay.

A wonderful and relaxing base of operations.

A lovely property that exceeded our expectations. It was wonderfully spacious, clean and well-maintained with an expansive supply of kitchenware, glasses and cups; plus some milk, tea, coffee etc. waiting for us on arrival too. There was also a lot of very useful information supplied in the property's folder with details of local walks, activities, beaches etc. (far better presented than I've seen at many other properties). Overall, an excellent relaxing base of operations for our family of four and dog!

Two very minor issues: there were a number of flies in the property, an inevitable consequence of adjoining a working farm; plus the door locks were a bit stiff and hard to operate. However, as noted, very minor quibbles for a property that we would be very happy to stay at again.

Great family break

Everything you needed for a self catering holiday. Having a washing machine was a good addition, so we didn't have to take so many clothes. Tea, coffee and fresh milk on arrival was nice. Views were excellent. 3 Ensuite bathrooms were great for a family.

Water pressure could have been better. Fire alarms very sensitive. Went off when making toast, so did put us off making complete meals. Fans in the room would have been nice for hotter days and nights.

Well provided, roomy for 4 adults and dog. Ideal location for meeting up with family in Bude.

Additional bath towel didn't appear and a bit chilly downstairs as electric heating but radiator soon warmed up

I loved how cosy it was and quiet

Just the flies and other bugs but it was expected being on a farm. The floor boards and stairs were quite creaky as well which made it hard to keep quiet especially with kids but it didn’t put us off!

Lovely and peaceful

We loved the peaceful location. All the beds were very very comfortable. The size of the property and that everyone had thier own bathroom ensure. The host was very friendly and even though you were attached to other holiday homes and you could see the owners just across the yard, it felt very private.

Only thing to be aware was the shower pressure, we always managed to have a shower but the pressure wasn't great, at best 'ok' but sometimes dropped to not much more than a trickle so could do with addressing. It didn't spoil our holiday I'm only saying because you asked for improvements

Everything was perfect for us even the farm yard cat was hilarious. He runs in one door, puts her out, uses the other door, runs around the building, and runs straight in. Miss tibbles, we named her. But the cottages was excellent

The cottage is in a lovely location and is spacious, clean and comfortable. It is also well-equipped. The picnic table in the lovely, well-maintained garden is a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the shower pressure could be bettter - a minor detail.

Simply perfect

The best ever staycation ive ever had! The shippon is absolutely HUGE! We had a very pleasant unexepected surprise when my partner went into early labour. Towards end of the trip spoke to the Hobbs family and they soo very kindly put us up for 2 more nights in a spare house! The rooms in both houses where clean and immaculate very spacious and modern. It was beyond perfect. Will 100% rebook for the summer

Very pleasent, nice quiet break a shame about the weather, gales for the 1st 3 days.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable all 5 stars. The location a little remote but found some lovely beaches, Duckpoole 1.8 miles away and Sandymouth Bay is amazing, well worth a visit.

The only 4 star thing is the water pressure, the showers were a little low.
