Wonderful place to stay!

This is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but we ABSOLUTELY loved it! The location was way out in the countryside in the middle of sheep pastures. Just lovely! The glamping pods were great. The "bedroom" had two twin beds, and the main room had a full-sized bed. The bathroom was wonderful. The heating system was great. There is a very large, new Tesco store with all your needs not far away. The host was incredibly responsive. We didn't have charcoal in our BBQ hut, and she arranged for us to get it within an hour. Great service! We used this as a base for a day trip to Orkney.

The start of Storm Amy came on, and the wind caused the radiators to think that a window was open. Not a big deal, but we had to reset the radiator in the middle of the night. Very little to complain about.

Too small for 6 people kichen too small No microwave , bathroom not great Did not use barbecue station at all Waste of money for it

A lovely place for recreation with your loved-ones

This is a very special place! Entering this juwel accomodation will make you smile. The view on the meadows is gorgeous, children will like the sheep around the house. Adults will love the BBQ place and the welcoming living and bed room.

Brilliant place to stay

Absolutely loved the lodge and our BBQ hut. We had fun lighting the fire and cooking our steaks. The charcoals and matches are provided which made it easier. Lodge was well laid out and had all the facilities we needed and most probably more. We stayed for one night but could have stayed for more.

Needs new fridge, didn't cool properly although freezer worked fine apart from that all good, very good.

Fantastic place.

Amenities, snacks and basics in room, comfortable beds, view, quiet and peaceful, sheep, bbq hut. Very clean and well equipped. Great communication prior to stay and in notebook. Great ventilation- it was baking in the sun so it was really hot upon arrival but cooled down quickly once we opened the windows.

Our favorite night in Scotland!

The cabins were delightful and impeccable, and the barbeque huts were especially fun. We were comfortable and cozy and loved looking out the kitchen window to a field full of sheep.

There's nothing we didn't like. It might be helpful for folks to know that the cabins don't have any food in them (e.g., salt/pepper, oil) which kitchens often do. And people just need to trust their SAT NAV or map -- the cabins really are there at the end of the road. :)

Beautiful lodge and location, wish we could have stayed longer.

The lodge itself was gorgeous. Furnishings were well chosen. The BBQ hut was fantastic! We planned food in advance and found the hut was extremely well thought out in terms of utensils etc with BBQ coals provided.

There were some issues in terms of the readiness of the lodge. However, the response from the owner was excellent and everything was resolved very quickly.

I liked the remoteness with all the sheep in the fields , the owner was fabulous fun, we took our own food it was perfect . I would ho back again. We had the best weather to.

Lovely Glamping pod. Had a barbecue though we didn’t use it.

Only one thing wrong was there isn’t a slip mat in the shower my husband slipped in it so think there should be one. Other than that it was great.

We had an amazing long weekend at Caithness View in the Pelican Lodge . The lodge was beautiful and spotless with everything you need. BBQ was our favourite part . Great views over the farm with loads of friendly little lambs and sunset every night . Sharon was a brilliant host and would 100% recommend . Hoping to come back sometime x

A lovely, cozy getaway! Perfect for a few nights away from the city!

Loved the BBQ hut and the coziness of the lodge and the sheep and lambs running around. It was a lovely wholesome stay! Communication from the hosts was great! And instructions left were very clear and helpful! Would 100% visit again!

We loved everything! We did run out of toilet roll though! With 4 adults it went quickly and there was no spare but no big deal!

Fab. Expensive, and I'd say slightly overpriced, but fun.

This property was such fun -- great little lodge, great BBQ hut, great view. Really lovely.

The double bed was just a standard and so it was fairly tight for me and my tall husband. It's also between the lounge and the kitchen so the whole room felt more snug than expected. It was impeccably designed but we did it as a couple and a 2 year old and I probably wouldn't try it with 4 people, let alone 6...
