Exceptional bungalows with epic sunset pool views

Beautiful bungalows set amongst the greenery, with epic sunset views from the pool area. The staff here are absolutely amazing - so friendly and warm and helpful! The rooms exceeded our expectations, and were the cleanest we encountered in our trip around Indonesia. The bed was so comfy, there was adequate storage space (but no safe), and the bathroom was suitable. The pool area is really nice, with plenty of room for all guests. The on-site restaurant serves great food at very reasonable prices. The staff went above and beyond and they really make this place what it is, so I can't say enough good things about them. They helped us organise a driver to/from the port, a manta ray tour, and scooter hire - and while this is all pretty standard, it was the quality of everything that was great - you can tell they source trustworthy, quality vendors to partner with with competitive pricing - our driver was really safe, helpful and friendly, our manta ray tour was outstanding (included GoPro photos and videos in the cost) and the scooter was very good quality. All in all it was an incredible stay.

Nothing, our stay was perfect! Some have noted the location of the bungalow as a negative, which is a little unfair in my opinion. If you are wanting to stay in the heart of Toya Pakeh then this obviously isn't the right spot for you - but if you want a quieter location away from that craziness, with lovely views and close to the best swimming beaches on the island, than this is perfect. There is also plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, including Kima Bay Restaurant.

Beautiful sunsets

What a lovely experience to be here. Most comfy beds of my 3 week trip. Deeva was so helpful and accommodating. The sunsets at the pool were priceless. I highly recommend. The food was great, the location was peaceful, which we needed after Ubud.

This is the best place to relax and see Nusa Pineda

There isn’t enough space to say! The property is stunningly beautiful with a breathtaking view. Super comfortable bed and chairs. The staff is world class. From reception to restaurant so helpful and accommodating. From the moment we arrived, Gerry and team organized our sightseeing and a great driver, Augus, who took us everywhere. We had booked a manta snorkel trip with another agency but didn’t see any, so Gerry quickly got us on another one! We saw mantas and were in time to catch our boat back to Sanur. We will never stay anywhere else on Nusa Pineda!

Not what we expected.

The staff was understanding and nice.

The photos on booking do not match the reality. Unfortunately the accomodations are outdated. We checked in and wanted to change the accommodation after one hour since the accomodation was not the standard we were hoping for, based on the pictures online. In our opiniom there was smell of mold in the room. The picture in this review is from the bed under the mattress.

Overall good & recommended for an affordable stay and beautiful sunset relaxing evenings

Property has really good sunset view. Hospitality is good. Room is super clean They arranged a candle light dinner for us which was beautiful.

One thing I would recommend them to improve is They don’t have phone/any WhatsApp to communicate at the reception/restaurant from the room. Every time you have to go to reception to get something done. Another point is they have to do something about insects snails, lizards are common sight. Also, the guy staff should talk politely to the guests. He felt a bit intimidating to us. Rest of the staff are super polite and welcoming

Great place to stay, out of the hustle and hustler but close enough to a few restaurants

Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We rented scooters from the accommodation and they allowed us to have the free breakfast for lunch to fit around our schedule. The pool area was very relaxing with a good view. They provided some great recommendations, Amok Sunset Restaurant is a MUST!

Amazing views & relaxing stay

We really liked the hotel with its surroundings! It has a great swimming pool, a beautiful garden, a nice restaurant and very welcoming staff! You can get scooters right from the property and the manager will give you good advice on how to play your days on the island. We extended our stay because we felt great! Bed was comfortable and AC silent, which is a very important thing for us. Breakfast is amazing as well!♥️

For the ones who say it’s noisy and hear crawls on the walls: I want to remind you that you are on a tropical island, in the middle of a tropical forest. Geckos are all over Bali/ Nusas/ Gillis! They are part of the heritage. If you cannot handle a gecko or some insects, better stay home :))

Perfect hospitality and stunning property

Beautiful property, stunning views from the pool, the grounds have tropical plants everywhere and everything is well maintained. Our bed was so comfy and the pillows and sheets were all great. Breakfast was good too. All the staff were SO friendly and helpful. Gerry especially went out of his way to help us plan our itinerary, rent a scooter, and even gave recommendations for a more hidden beach that wouldn’t be as busy. Everyone was so accommodating and the whole place was a really chill vibe.

The road to get to the property from the main road is a little rough if you’re on a scooter but they were literally laying concrete when we were there so I’m sure very soon the road will be properly paved!

One of the best accommodations of our 3 week Indonesia trip!

The people from Penida Sunset were super kind and helpful! Especially Gary & Dewi! The bungalow park is beautifully set up with a clean infinity pool with sunset view over Crystal Bay Beach. Besides that the room and bed were very comfortable. We liked everything of this stay!

For us it was no problem but there is a minimal amount of warm water for the shower.

Really beautiful, quaint, clean and comfortable bungalow with a super comfy bed and excellent bathroom facilities. Nice on-site restaurant and wonderful pool in view of the sunset over the sea. Staff were all really nice. Highly recommended!

Paradise

I literally cannot recommend this place enough. We arrived early and they already had our room ready. They helped us rent a scooter (as in it was already at the hotel for us which was amazing), Gerry the manager basically helped organise our whole trip by writing a list of things to see and how to group them together, he also booked snorkelling for us which was amazing! The rooms are so clean and quiet! This was the best sleep I had the whole holiday. The pool is lovely, clean and at sunset it’s a lovely place to chill. The hotel restaurant is next level, literally best food we ate on Nusa Penida, and after a long day it was great to have some lovely food and go to bed. The menu is varied for both breakfast and dinner and was a really great touch! We can’t wait to come back in the future!

Peaceful and beautiful

Very Nice hotel, even the best of our 20-days trip over Bali. The place is very nice with an incredible view! The restaurant is good too with competitive prices. The staff was extremely nice, helped us to program our day trip at Nusa Penida and was super gentle. We only stayed one night but regret not stay an additional day or two. Excellent accommodation in Nusa Penida

Amazing view, breakfast and dinner. You can have breakfast at any time of the day...even in the evening, if you had to step out earlier and returned later! The amenities of the accommodation are great, and Gary the head of staff is an amazing guide, with a lot of great tips for does and don't s in Nusa Penida.

Easy choice if we come back.

The sunset view and the lovely service. Very personal and really made our stay better then without. The food was also beyond excellent. The first real good Nasi I have had during my Bali trip. Compliments!

The only only negative thing I can think of is the road to the hotel, but since we drove on a scooter it did not really matter.

What we dreamed off

Amazing! We spent just two days in this wonderful place, full immersion in the nature of Nusa Penida Island, with confort, kindness, peace and beauty. No doubt in saying that the view of the Ocean and Bali, at sunset, from this beautiful pool placed on top of a hill is really enchanting. The professionalism of Gery, always available for useful suggestions, and the kindness of the whole personal, are really a plus. Rooms are perfect. We continue our travel with very good memories of this place!

Wonderful stay! Attentive staffs

Accommodation is very pretty and comfortable! Service was really good, the staffs were attentive. Felt very relaxed even though it is just a night stay. Informed the staff that I have to check out early at 5am the next day; they woke up early and help me to assist in checking out. So nice of them! Wish that I can stay there for a few more days

Gorgeous stay in Penida

Absolutely our best stay in Bali! Gorgeous pool and view, very nice rooms, delicious breakfast and food, lovely staff. It was a bliss to be in the nature here in Penida after the hussle of Bali. The manager also helps you with your plan in Penida and with any other thing you may need!

Perfect!

This place was well beyond our expectations! The hotel is super nice and clean, with a beautiful infinity pool over a gorgeous view. The food was delicious, the room extra clean and the staff is amazing. They all bent over backwards to make our honeymoon even more special, especially Gerry who was extremely helpful with all our requests and was fully committed with providing us the best stay possible. I highly recommend staying at Penida Sunset Ocean View Bungalows!

I had an amazing stay at Penida Sunset and received great care from Wayan, his family and other staff members. Wayan always help and honest with pricing for transport, private boat and accommodating us in every ways. We were stranded on Penida on our last day as we make our way to Gili T but was stuck at the port. Wayan immediately got us the emergency room to stay for the night and transport to take us back to the hotel. Highly recommend here and thank you so much! มาสนุกกับเพนิดาได้ที่นี่😊

It was absolutely perfect

Everything was perfect ! The location was really good, not far from the center and in between all the famous spot. The rooms were very clean, staff was amazing, and the view from the pool is breathtaking! Gerry was the perfect host, he made us feel very confortable, he was very helpful, gave us great advices and most of all we could trust him 100%!! Nusa Penida is a gem and being in this hotel made the experience even better. We will come back for sure!

It’s a paradise.

I so recommend this place, it smells like flower and environment is so chillax. Team are superb. The vibe is exactly what we hope to get from the island. There’s even a cute frog outside croaking in an innocent and adorable way, we had a good laugh over it. Also follow the advice from the boss for pickup and scooter rental and things to do etc, don’t be like me.

An amazing place, 5/5!

The manager Geri was an excellent host and all the other staff were really nice. They helped us with all our problems and Geri arranged transports etc to us. The place has an amazing view over the jungle to the ocean. The bungalows were really nice, and more than clean. The garden was very beautiful and the area with bungalows, garden and pool was really cozy and luxurious. Restaurant offered local and western style food and it was really good. Its also bit off the "bigger roads" and really a secluded paradise. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Super clean comfortable bungalows with beautiful sunset view

One of my favorite places I have stayed in Bali. It felt very cozy, like at home but at the same time there was no doubt I was staying at a very thoroughly maintained place. You are surrounded by an insanely beautiful garden (that's actually very hard to maintain in local soil and heat). Sunset view is very nice plus you can enjoy it from an infinity pool. Bungalows are very smartly designed, everything is very new and well maintained. Cleanliness is a separate highlight - it's SUPER clean, staff makes a lot of effort and you can feel it. Beds are super comfy, linen is changed every 2 days. It was a rare occasion when photos on booking.com are actually worse than things are in real life (in Bali it is usually the opposite and we have fallen victims to it a few times in the past). And special thanks to the extremely kind, nice and helpful team that looks after the place. Gerry, manager of the place, helped us with all our additional requests, questions and tips about places to visit. Also he was attentive enough to notice my burn from a bike and suggested aloe from the garden that absolutely saved me (later from sunburn as well). I would totally recommend this place to a friend.

Geri and the staff here are meticulous and work hard on these bungalows (which are the same as what is listed as a deluxe room on this site), as well as the picturesque pool area and well-kept garden. Our stay was scenic and relaxing. Geri will help you with anything you might need from advice to tours to drivers to on-site massages, without pressuring you to go with his options. The tour operator he linked us with for snorkeling and seeing manta rays was good, with guides that worked efficiently to find manta rays and hawksbill turtles without disturbing the animals, or feeding the reef fish. We appreciated Agus, the driver Geri paired us with. They also made arranging our transport back to the Banjar Nyuh Harbour easy, which was a relief given the pouring rain. It's a steep walk on a narrow road with lots of motor traffic to Crystal Bay, so if that puts you off, we'd only recommend using a scooter if you're very familiar with driving one on bad roads or heavy rain -- or using a driver. This did not impact our stay but as a note to other travellers in Nusa Penida, it's advisable to bring plenty of IDR as ATMs are in short supply and can run out of cash, and island-wide power outages do occur.

Amazing view and really nice staff

Our stay there was amazing. The property has an infinity pool facing the sea and the sunset! it was a really nice view. The staffs were so nice. They offered welcome drink, they helped arranging a tour to explore Nusa, a taxi to take us to the pier. The room was super comfortable and everything in wood made us feel super cozy there.

the only small issue we had it was regarding the internet connection. The Wi-Fi didn’t work properly in our bungalow, but in the common area, the signal was good.
