Cozy renovated flat in Koukaki

The flat is immaculate. It has everything I needed, very comfortable, great access, proximity to transportation and restaurants (including vegan/vegetarian meals). The host was very helpful and responded quickly. I will gladly book this flat again.

This small apartment is perfect for two people. It's located in a lively neighborhood, one street over from a pedestrian only street filled with bars and places to eat. We'd recommend Laluk for drinks, they have a wide selection and amazing staff. For food you can't go wrong with Kalyvas. The apartment is about 600 meters, or a 8-minute walk to the nearest metro station named Syngrou-Fix. From here you can travel to basically anywhere in Athens and it's just one stop away from the Acropolis. Reserve your visit a few weeks in advance and pick the 8am slot! It's not as hot nor as crowded. Use the official site at hhticket.gr. The apartment has a small kitchen with a fridge, freezer, cooktop, coffee maker, kettle- all the usual stuff. We only used the fridge though. The food in Athens is quite affordable, so we ate out every meal. There's a bathroom with a sink, toilet (don't flush paper down it - this is standard across most of Greece) and a shower. One downside of the shower is you need to pre-heat the water heater about 15 minutes before you can use the shower. You'll need to do this for each use, so you'll have to plan for that. In the hallway there's a sofa. The bedroom has a TV, though we've never turned it on. The bed is ok, though the mattress could use an upgrade. The owners name is Andreas and he's super helpful! When we arrived, he was waiting for us in front of the building. He took us up one flight of steps to the first floor. There is an elevator, though the lobby also has a short flight of stairs you will have to climb before you reach it. Andreas showed us around the apartment and explained everything. He then took the time to recommend places to eat and see. During our stay we also received a couple of texts from him asking us if we're ok, if we needed anything and if he could help us in any way. On our last day, which was May 1st, there was a general strike and the metro was shut down.

The apartment is very close to the centre of Athens. It is in 15-20 min walking distance from Acropolis. You could reach almost everything by foot, maybe except the National Archaeological Museum which is easily reachable by metro. There are a lot of non-expensive Greek restaurants in 100 meters from the apartment. A metro station is in 7 min from the apartment. It is a very quiet apartment, we could sleep with open windows. The host, Andreas, is very kind and always ready to help.
