Kotimaailma Apartments Siljotie

This was my second time staying here. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped, and the location is extremely convenient, just across from the train station.

This time, I booked three apartments. For one of them, the check-in process was the same as last year: we could simply use the key from the key box at the apartment entrance. However, for the other two apartments, the check-in procedure had changed. We had to walk quite a distance—at least 10 minutes—to another location to collect the keys, and then walk all the way back to the apartments. This was extremely inconvenient, especially for guests traveling with large luggage or arriving by train. I strongly suggest that this key collection arrangement be clearly stated in the property information before booking. It would be much more convenient if the keys could be collected directly at the apartment building. In addition, the facilities and amenities vary somewhat between the apartments. The apartment I stayed in did not provide basic cooking essentials such as salt or sugar, which made it quite inconvenient when I wanted to prepare food.

Appartamento in un palazzo nuovo e vicino alla stazione ferroviaria. L'appartamento è ampio e ben illuminato. La cucina è fornita di tutte le attrezzature e gli elettrodomestici necessari. All'interno del bagno è presente la stanza della sauna, molto gradita.

La cosa peggiore è stato dover recuperare le chiavi di casa in una zona della città che si trovava in direzione opposta a quella in cui avremmo dovuto dormire. Se si cerca un alloggio prossimo alla stazione ferroviaria, significa che si vuole evitare il disagio di trasportare con sé i propri bagagli

The apartment is just a stone’s throw from the train station, which was super convenient. It’s on the sixth floor, with a nice view and a huge balcony to chill out. There’s also a sauna, which is a super bonus after a long drive

Always in Kotimaailma Apartments I face the same problem - basic tea and coffee. A pack of coffee or tea costs only a few euros, and adding some long-life coffee creamer would be a nice touch for your guests. One more thing to keep in mind: the curtains don’t block out all the light. In June-July the sun barely sets in Rovaniemi, so if you’re not used to the midnight sun, it can be difficult to sleep. Blackout curtains would make the apartment much more comfortable.

Sauna war toll zu haben. Ansonsten auch alles da.

Leider haben wir für unsere Mopeds einen Strafzettel bekommen, da keine Möglichkeit besteht sie auf einem passenden Parkplatz zu stellen 😞
