A lovely apartment, very clean and in a great location.

Great location just a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. Quiet neighbourhood but with various shops very close by.

The duvet was too thick for the summer.

Good value for money, good self catering facilities, good location with an Aldi across the road

At the time of our stay the entire road was dug up under construction right up to the gate of the property, I was able to get a parking space in a nearby street but wouldn’t have been comfortable staying more than a day as we had requested a property with parking specifically. Not the owners issue however.

Perfect family stay en route to the South

Second time we have stayed here in Chartres. It’s the perfect spot for a family for a few nights visiting this beautiful cathedral city. Clean, simple, spacious and comfortable. We’ll be back again.

We had an ok stay but the lack of the promised wifi was a problem.

The power shower, easy parking and the location is a 15 minute walk from the Cathedral.

We could join the advertised free wifi but it didn't work and we received no response from the host when we asked why.

Not what we had booked

By themselves, both 2-bed accommodations were fine, but we had rented a 6-bed accommodation for our family.

The accommodation is rented by a 'professional' organisation. However, a few hours before arrival, we were informed that the accommodation we had booked was not available. Without giving any reason (and we had booked the accommodation months in advance). The alternative offered was 2 smaller, separate accommodations. This was not pleasant as it left us without a dining table for joint breakfast or dinner. Anyway, we do not like having our children sleep separately from us (in a situation that is strange to them). Contact was only possible via the Booking.com app. There, our host had indicated that they were both 3-bed flats. I sometimes fall asleep on the sofa at home too, but that doesn't make it a sofa bed. These sofas were not meant for sleeping on. All in all, not a positive experience, partly because of the poor and cranky communication (my interpretation). As an encore, the next day we received the automated message whether we had enjoyed a great stay??? Comfortable and convenient

Chartres was beautiful, and it was great for us to be able to arrive late and have somewhere comfortable to stay. The parking was also appreciated.

We were a bit surprised to find how far we were from the city centre, but it wasn't too bad. About a fifteen-minute walk.

Clean. Lovely big bathroom with shampoo etc.

Smaller than I thought. Trouble opening the cupboard where the sheets for sofa bed were.

Disappointing

Spacious. Adequate facilities. Opposite Aldi which has bakery for breakfast.

No off street parking although listing shows parking. Kitchen not very clean. Coffee machine not cleaned recently and capsules provided not compatible. Only sleeps 2 adults plus either 1 more adult or older child on sofa bed. Travel cot also in cupboard but only suitable for up to 2-3 years max. Property does not feel secure. Property is on a road which is busy at peak times and is a bus route. Lots of noise from people renting other apartments in property 20-25 min walk into center of town with children.

A nice sized appartement for a family

the matresses on the kids bunk beds were really thin. we had to put one on-top of the other so a child could sleep comfortably ( the other beds were fine)

clean, had everything you need. Very comfortable and good location if wanting to go to the town centre.

parking was a bit of an issue, either living it down the side street or the supermarket carpark, however, that was continuously full.

Our stay was not pleasant

Easy to get bus in to town centre. Dog friendly. Comfy bed. Big shower room. Aldi opposite. On street parking.

The first night our neighbours had a party which finished at 4.30 am. It was a cold day and there was no heat on so we were cold, as well as tired. After I asked via message the owner quickly put the heating on mid morning. Towards the end of the day the heating went off and didn't come on again the second morning. We left a day early.

Cute place. Ideal for family stay. Enough facilities to self cater if you wish.

Quiet location. Kitchen, Lounge and Bathroom well furnished and clean. Centre of town a 10 min walk away. You can just see the cathedral from our velux window ( we were in an attic conversation). Light and airy. Plenty of aircon. Aldi across road.

No corkscrew! Found the bottle cooler thanks but no way to open wine.

Good, clean and well-equipped apartment close to town centre but parking is tricky

location, clean space with nice sofa and kitchen with all utensils, nice to have more than one coffee pod on arrival! Close to the centre of town

Had been told we could park in supermarket opposite so we did but then a staff member from store challenged us as we started to walk off so we had to move it. That was a bit stressful on arrival as we didn't know what all the on-street parking signs meant. Also having to call on arrival for the key code was a pain, it would be better if this could just be sent automatically on the day via text or email. Owner didn't answer the phone the first time we called and waiting to get in with small children is not easy.

Nice place but dishes were all wet in cupboards

Getting the keys was a bit confusing as the key box was empty and we then realised that the door was unlocked and the keys had been left on the table at the entrance. Fortunately the property was in good state when we entered. The cleaning and the washing up had been done but all the dishes where stored in the cupboards completely wet, with bowls and plates having significant amount of residue water in them.

It was walk distance from city center. Great backery few meters away. Easy to park on public parking places. Lovely house.

Stayed in "Yellow" apartment. Pleasant flat for a couple. Relatively easy location for parking and within a short distance of the town centre.

Cooking utensils were limited. A bigger saucepan would not go amiss.

Fan would not switch off. (This we noted had being reported already and was still not fixed). No cups for tea. No bedside lamps. There was no instructions on how to work the heating. Disappointing as all these issues had being pointed out before and remain unresolved

bed linen was wet, A/C working all the time, it wasn't possible to switch it off, so there was really cold extremely small kitchen

- I booked 2 rooms but only got 1 room, where 2 spaces where 'divided' by a cupboard - WIFI didn't work, despite the promise of the owner to look after it - For 1 bed no sheets where provided - The owner asked to give her our credit card number en safety code by phone
