The host was very friendly and very helpful. She made it feel like a home. She was always helps.

The mattress was a bit old. Over exaggerated it was like a boat.

The stay was absolutely flawless. In a city where cleanliness and hygiene aren’t the norm, coming home after days of sightseeing to find a spacious bedroom and bathroom - plus a kitchen equipped with all the essentials - felt like a blessing. The women managing the place are extremely kind and helpful. The included breakfast is really worth it: there are sweets, savories, yoghurts, juices, various kinds of milk, and coffee! They also left a pie every morning, which was very kind of them. They’re not fresh foods, but packaged — but let’s be honest: if you want a 5-star hotel treatment, pay for a 5-star hotel. The location is perfect for anyone who wants quick walking access to the central station. It’s near a very pleasant square by the Teatro San Ferdinando, which offers respite from the hustle and bustle of busier avenues. The feel of the neighbourhood is very local, which makes you forget that you’re a tourist - if you want to. We stayed in a room with a street-facing balcony, and that really enhanced our experience: waking up and going to the window to see Naples at dawn, from a picturesque balcony full of bright, living flowers, was revitalizing. The bed was also large and comfortable and the bathroom is bright and spacious. We could even leave our luggage in the apartment after check-out, which was really convenient. Again, we didn’t know Naples before, and despite it being a wonderful, beautiful, and very real city - one we want to return to - we were negatively struck by its dirtiness (there was a lot of trash in the streets). The cleanliness and maintenance of public spaces simply don’t exist. B&B Due Teatri is an oasis of harmony and cleanliness in the wild chaos that is the magnificent city of Naples.

I was extremely lucky with the experience overall, and I can’t find a single negative point. However, a small heads up: the apartment is on the fourth floor, and the elevator only works with 10-cent coins. That can be annoying if you arrive with lots of luggage, have mobility issues, or just don’t have coins at the moment — so, if you're reading this: BRING COINS. Another thing that didn’t bother us at all, nor did it make communication difficult (we’re Portuguese and managed to understand Italian): the ladies’ English is just basic, enough for necessities. So if you don’t speak any language other than English, or if your native language doesn’t help in understanding Italian, be ready to communicate via online translators. :)

The room was clean and had a nice little balcony onto the street. The bathroom had a good shower and the breakfast was good, every room has their own little table with breakfast options and one big shared space with coffee machine, microwave, watercooker and a refrigerator with various milk and juice choices. There is an excellent Pizzaria just around the corner called OWAP, that was recommended by the staff, and we were very happy getting excellent pizza there in the evening after a troublesome journey from the airport.

Breakfast was good but only sweet options - which we supplemented with peppers and cucumber from the local supermarket. Showerhead was very weak, but the rainshower worked great. So not a big issue either.
