Steps downstairs to the bathroom.

Our host, Giampiero’s warm welcome, communication and advice helped us to thoroughly enjoy our stay in Spello. The apartment was classy and very comfortable with the facilities provided second to none. Location close to the centre of the old town was much appreciated.

The steps down to the bathroom were steep and we had to be extra careful when using them.

Uniquely stylish, great communication by both Giampiero and Marina, easy walk to centre and excellent recommendation of restaurants. Marina gave us a warm welcome and a very helpful lift to the train station.

Great location, charming space, wonderful town

The bathroom is down a steep set of stairs. If you use the restroom at night, can be a little tricky.

Character property that is very close to the town square. A bottle of local wine was also left in the fridge for us. The Vault has speedy Wi-Fi. We were offered a pick-up service up from the railway station by Marina, who drove us and our luggage to the apartment for a low 10 Euro fee.

This is a character property but ... the Bathroom was down a steep staircase in the cellar. This was difficult for us to manage at night without leaving a light on as we have older knees. Leaving a light on at night to make the staircase safe was problematic for us as we like dark rooms to sleep in. The vault is a very dim room during the day, as there is a lack of sunlight entering the property, but not completely dark at night, because of the lack of thick curtains to block street lights (but not enough light to navigate the steep staircase). I think the owner should install stair lights for safety. There is also a low beam half-way down the stairs which make it a little risky for taller visitors. Noise at night from clock (resolved by removing battery) and the oven clock which could not be isolated without switching off Wi-Fi and power outlets. We experienced considerable noise also from a loud neighbour above the vault, who left their upstairs window open and had two-hour phone calls with the phone left on speakerphone. We had to shut the window and door to suppress the noise during the day, but ended up leaving the apartment for some peace and quiet. Furniture could also be heard dragging across the floor (the ceiling of the Vault) at 2 and 3 in the morning. Kitchen appliances (kettle, microwave, and coffee machine) had to share the same power outlet in the kitchen as there was no plug board). Only two coffee pods left for a 5 night stay. Washing machine but no drying machine. 3 clothes pegs were left for the clothes horse but there was only late afternoon sunlight in street to dry clothes). The cellar (containing the washing machine) was a little damp if the dehumidifiers were not used after showering. Firewood and candles but no firelighters and two empty lighters. More attention to the finer details would be welcomed.

it was a pleasure to stay at another brick in the wall. Such a historic house in a stunning location. Staying during mid-summer and it was cool to sleep in. Hosts were lovely too

We loved everything about the house. The location was perfect for us - center of Spello and close to all the restaurants, grocery store and free parking but on a very quiet alleyway.. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was great for preparing our own meals. The property manager, Marina, was lovely and fantastic to deal with. The owners were great and answered all of our emails promptly. The welcome bottle of wine was much appreciated.
