The location is great and it is very spacious for a family of 5. The host was easily contacted via Whatsapp and asked if we needed anything. Every room had an AC which is great.

It was not very clean and the 2 sofa beds were not made, we had to do them ourselves.

Affordable for Istanbul. Nicely located, not a beautiful street (rather the opposite) but near Tophane tram stop and 10 min from Galata (going up the hill) and a bit less by foot to Karaköy. Air con and fridge, that was nice. Some tea provided and a small bottle of water. It's nice but I would ask of an apartment of this kind in a city with no drinkable tap water to at least provide a 2 liters one.

Ceilings are low, specially in the bathroom. Not ideal, but if you're not too tall is ok. The bathroom sink is smelly. I read about that from others, they should at least put some scents there to camouflage the smell. Not noisy from the outside but impact noises from neighbours upside. No elevator and stairs are few but steep. Bed a bit on the hard side. A microwave would have been lovely. One day the light went off and it came back soon, but as a result one electric plug stopped working and with it the freezer. Owner said he would try to fix it the next day but never came, and didn't reach out anymore, so I don't know. Communication a bit scarce, as you can see.
