Villa Starbay has a sweet, lazy atmosphere.

Tout est parfait. C'est sans aucune retenue que nous pouvons recommander cette location. Contact préalable avec Emilie très professionnel (qui s'occupe de l'entretien et accueille les clients), nous avons reçu des explications claires afin de localiser la villa (facile à trouver sans GPS). Accueil tout aussi apprécié, en prenant le temps de nous donner quelques conseils et bonnes adresses. Le logement est impeccable, propre et bien entretenu, très belles pièces et jolie décoration, tout est soigné et confortable. Environnement très calme, zone résidentielle. Relevons juste qu'il n'y a pas de dégagement au delà de la propriété (vue sur petits palmiers de 4 ou 5 mètres). Emplacement parfait, en 2 ou 3 minutes de voiture, vous avez tout sous la main (supermarchés, vente de fruits et légumes de la région, essence, restaurants et et plage de Malendure avec l'Ilet Pigeon à côté pour la plongée). De plus, la localisation est vraiment idéale pour visiter Basse-Terre (bien centrée) et notamment profiter des très belles plages en allant en direction de Deshaies (30 à 60 minutes en voiture). Merci à Mme Pourcheresse d'être venue lors de notre départ, personne vraiment très aimable et soucieuse de bien faire les choses.

The pictures on the listing accurately portray this upscale property. Although it lacks a sea view, it is lushly landscaped with sleek and modern decor, very clean, and on a quiet lane away from the main road, yet convenient (5 min drive) to the dive sites at Pigeon Island (dive operator Les Heures Saines recommended - they are very service-oriented and accommodate non-French speakers) and Malendure beach, as well as the Carrefour grocery store and the adjacent local bakery, and only a 35 min drive to the beautiful beaches of Deshaies (Tropicalsub Diving also recommended). Don’t hesitate to book this property even if your French is very limited. The owner kindly made her communications in English and the greeter, Emilie, was fantastic as well. She made sure to check in with us during our stay and made sure all was well. A thoroughly welcoming and positive experience!

We had a wonderful week in the most beautiful Villa Starbay. Whatever you wish for in a vacation home, its there: Beautiful furniture, decorations and outdoor space; fully equipped, very modern and contemporary gourmet kitchen with every item you can even think of, luxury bathrooms and a great location: Close to the Cousteau underwater reserve and other nice beaches, close to every activity on the Route de la Traversée and La Souffrière, but still in a very tranquil environment. And in addition to all that the nicest and most helpful hostess ever! We will definetly be back! The entire family (Parents with 3 kids at the age of 9,12,13) just loved it.
