Great location, accommodation a bit disappointing

Location was great. Beautiful woodland all around. Less than 10 mins drive to St Erth train station for train into St Ives

House very damp. Quite small for 3 grown adults. Water in kitchen not hot enough to wash up. No bus to and from the site out of season. Onsite shop didn't sell many fresh items.

We need another holiday to recover from the stress of being at this location.

It was equipped with all of the essential items & the decor was simple and quaint.

The lights in the lounge and front porch didn’t work and when I phoned the owner they made no effort to rectify the situation. The lack of light made it very treacherous approaching the front door during darkness hours. We had to leave the curtains open with a lamp and the kitchen light on when we went out at night to be able to see the front path and steps when returning. This goes against being in an eco village. They advertised that there was WiFi but it was non existent for the entire stay even in the common areas and the mobile data reception barely worked. It is not close to the beach as advertised and the walk through the woods was basically a muddy bog. All in all a very frustrating and disappointing experience and we felt as though the wool had been pulled over our eyes to get the booking and once they had the money they couldn’t give a damn.

Superb

The setting, the location was wonderful for access to St Ives and just off the A30 and the rest of Cornwall and Devon, but most of all , when this booking was cancelled by mistake and then cancelled prematurely by Booking.com Lucy kept the booking open for us and was willing to help us resolve the problems. Also when communication lines broke down she went the extra mile to make we were given all the information we required. Lucy is a Gem for any of her guests

The lack of WiFi at site caused a few problems, and the shower was a bit awkward to use.

Cosy clean cottage in a holiday resort

- nice location surrounded by forrest - good base for exploring southern end of cornwall - 10 min drive from St Ives - very well equipped - all crockery etc you will need to self cater is provided - cleaned to good standard - beds were comfortable - easy check in and out process with key safe

- the corner sofa in the living area was a bit uncomfortable, making it hard for everybody to relax together in living area in the evenings - no wifi in the cottage and poor reception. Communal wifi in club lounge was not great (was lovely to disconnect from internet, but it made itinerary planning hard!)

The bungalow was well equipped and lovely and clean. Very close to St Ives and Carbis beach.

The bungalow was lovely. Wifi was patchy. As a parent it was good to be without it but our 12 year old struggled.
