The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was very central—right in the heart of Athens, which made it easy to get around. Most importantly, the host was incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. She went out of her way to help us feel comfortable and even provided earplugs when we mentioned the noise.
The biggest issue was the noise. The apartment is located right above a busy square, and unfortunately, the rooms are not soundproof. This made it extremely difficult to sleep, especially with young children and an elderly family member. The noise from the square lasted until around 3 a.m. every night, and we were usually awake by 6 a.m., so we were constantly exhausted. It would have helped if the listing had mentioned this, as it’s an important consideration for families or light sleepers.
