About this house rental

We invite you to come and relax at Le Grillon, our family villa located in St Aubin sur mer, the Queen of Iodine.
The ground floor of the house consists of a kitchen, entrance hall, WC, dining-living room, bedroom with double bed and private shower room / WC. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM) using a ramp.
Upstairs, you will find 2 bedrooms with 160 cm beds, one with shower room and private terrace facing the sea, a children's room with two 90 cm beds, a second bathroom and separate toilets. Our concierge service will provide all linens (sheets, pillow cases, duvets and duvet covers, towels and tea towels). A baby cot (without sheets) and a high chair are available.
Each upstairs bedroom opens onto the balcony overlooking the garden. Connected wifi, the house has a TV in the living room, as well as in two bedrooms.
Bicycles are available, as well as nets for shrimp fishing, beach and board games. An outdoor shower is planned for the return from the beach before enjoying the barbecue with family or friends.
The proximity of shops allows you to go shopping on foot by the dike (pedestrian promenade) which runs along the beach.

Our time at this property was wonderful. It fit 7 of us, 2 of whom were seniors with mobility challenges. The location was amazing-you can walk right onto the boardwalk but it is set back so you have some privacy. Dominique was prompt to answer messages and Isabelle was flexible in working with us when our arrival was delayed. Overall, a wonderful stay!

I wanted to treat my family to a week away. There was my husband, my eldest son, his wife and their 14year old twins. Plus my other son. Unfortunately his wife was unable to join us. I know St Aubin very well so knew everything it offered plus surrounding area. Le Grillon was perfect for 7 people. Great location so close to the sea. My family brought their wet suits so most days they were in the sea! My sons are keen cyclists so brought their bikes plus twins bikes. Plenty of cycling routes and paths, There is so much history in the area so plenty of museums etc to visit. Then wonderful beach walks. Food shopping easy. It would have been perfection if the weather had behaved but we still had a fantastic week. Thank you very much.

We spent a fantastic week at St Aubin Sur Mer, the house was lovely with all the amenities. It was a great pied-a-terre for our family of 5 as we explored the historic sites and enjoyed the restaurants and cafes. The house is very spacious, is well appointed, and steps away from the beach. The master bedroom has lovely balcony from which you can enjoy the view of the ocean. Would definitely stay in this home again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

This is a wonderful property - we loved staying here with our four children, and my husband’s parents. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished and was perfect for our needs. There is a bakery close by for your morning pastry needs and several nice restaurants for the evenings. We were in Normandie to visit the WWII Landing beaches and the house worked out perfectly!

It is a very nice property in a lovely location, the house is also very well maintained. We did enjoy our stay and the closeness to the beach was superb. There were however a couple of things that did not meet our expectations from the description. Only the downstairs bedroom has a toilet in the ensuite with another separate toilet off the sitting room. The upstairs ensuite shower room and the separate bathroom surprisingly have no toilets in them which means the 3 upstairs bedrooms have to share one very small toilet between them. The description clearly states separate ‘toilets’ upstairs, not toilet! The house is indeed very well equipped but there are only comfortable chairs in the sitting area for 4/5 people and there were 7 of us. There was 1 sofa and 2 armchairs. The only other chairs were hard dining chairs which were not comfortable for sitting on all evening. The house is advertised for 8 people so I would expect to have comfortable seating for 8. I think it is a lovely house in a beautiful location but the description needs some clarification.

Es ist das perfekte Haus! Innen ist es hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sind bequem. Das beste ist der Blick von einem der Schlafzimmer und aus dem Badezimmer auf den Strand und das Meer. Die Küche ist modern und beinhaltet viel Geschirr und auch eine besondere Ausstattung wie Muschelbesteck und Ähnliches. Der Garten bietet zu jeder Tageszeit Sonnen- und Schattenplätze. Gartenmöbel sind reichhaltig vorhanden. Absolut traumhaft ist die Lage: Nur die Fußgängerpromenade trennt den Strand und den Garten. Fußläufig sind zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants erreichbar. Und gleichzeitig ist es nachts ruhig. Man hört nur die Wellen! Das Haus ist ein Traum!

Les commerces et restaurants sont accessibles à pied. Maison refaite à neuf, très agréable. Bémols: pas de sèche linge, literie neuve mais très dure.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la Toussaint. La maison est à un emplacement idéal pour un séjour en famille avec de jeunes enfants : la maison donne accès directement sur la plage, il n'y a aucune rue à traverser. Le village de Saint Aubin est aussi accessible à pied ou en vélo, par la promenade le long de la plage. Il y a également un grand jardin bien mis à profit par les enfants ! Enfin, la maison a été rénovée récemment et est très agréable. Seul tout petit bémol : la maison n'est pour l'instant pas idéale pour le télétravail (pas de bureau dans les chambres). Mais ça pourrait se résoudre facilement. On essaiera de revenir dès que possible !

Nous avons passé deux semaines de rêve au Grillon! La maison est idéalement située à un portail de la promenade, le jardin est à l'abri du vent. Elle est joliment décorée et très très bien équipée. Les restaurants sont à deux pas, super école de voile et tellement de jolies choses à visiter aux alentours. Nous avons adoré chaque instant passé Au Grillon et espérons pouvoir y retourner très bientôt !

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le confort de la maison et fait de belles balades sur la plage. La maison est très agréable, bien équipée, cosy, et idéalement située avec accès direct sur la plage , parfait avec des enfants, et en totale sécurité ( pas de voitures.)Nous ne connaissions pas Saint-Aubin et le front de mer est vraiment charmant! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir une prochaine fois !

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au Grillon. La propriété est très bien située, près du centre et sur la promenade piétons. L'accès à la mer est donc immédiat. La maison a été rénovée récemment, elle est bien équipée et était très propre à l'arrivée. Nos enfants de 3 ans s'y sont beaucoup plu. Arrivée et départ se sont très bien passés. Lorsque l'on est une personne en fauteuil roulant la recherche d'une maison en location est toujours très sélective. Merci à ce propriétaire d'avoir pensé aux personnes qui vivent en fauteuil roulant. Après plusieurs échanges le jour J est arrivé et nous n'avons pas été déçu, un accueil chaleureux , une maison très propre, petites attentions de la région, la semaine commençait bien et à notre départ nous avons eu le temps de quitter la maison sans stress. Nous ne connaissions pas Saint Aubin /mer, très joli village Normand, un véritable village de pêcheur avec des maisons très bien entretenues. Nous recommendons cette grand maison familliale où grands et petits se sentaient comme chez eux.
