Ideal property as a base to explore the area. House was cosy and had plenty of room for us all. House isn’t an immaculate super clean and clinically clean new build/reno, it has character and charm

Good base for visiting the area. Small and compact cottage with many personal belongings and quite large furniture that made it feel smaller. Also not very clean.

The house had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The house is well placed. Penryn has plenty to offer and access to Falmouth is quick and easy. Parking can be difficult although it is on a quiet road so stopping to unload bags/shopping at the door is possible. There is no outside space, which for us would have been a downside of we had been staying for longer.

My son and I stayed at the cottage as we waited for our new home to become available, and it served as our first step in our new life in the area. It provided much-needed comfort and cosiness in a transitional period of our lives, as we explored the area and my son began his time in a new school. The owner was very responsive to questions. It definitely has a lived-in vibe: the owner lives there when not away, and it gives the property a very particular character!

This house location was good for what we needed but had several faults which made our stay disappointing. The owner asked for shoes not to be worn in the house but the floors and carpets had not been vacuumed or swept and the previous occupant's hair was on the bedroom carpets and in the drawers in both bedrooms. The windows in the main bedroom did not open. The light bulb in the hallway had blown so needed changing. The appearance was a lived-in property that had been vacated for our stay and not cleaned beforehand. The crockery had to be rewashed before use. In the five years we have been visiting Cornwall so far this has been our worst stay.

This certainly is a unique cottage. The cottage itself is appealing and certainly in a quiet area. Access is limited on a very narrow street. You may want to keep that in mind and pack accordingly. The town itself has seen it's better days and many of the businesses have closed including the local pub. The Muddy Beach restaurant is recommended, and you will find other choices in restaurants limited. Falmouth about 20 minutes away certainly has more choices. As for the facility itself: We would recommend upgrading the mattresses. They are old and not in very good condition and smelled musty in the main bedroom. The secondary bedroom mattress/boxspring was stained and old as well, Linens for the beds could be much better. This was certainly a major disappointment. Carpets were not swept upon arrival, and they certainly needed it. The cottage certainly did not reflect the seven hundred pounds I spent for a four-night stay. Also, parking is quite limited. We paid for several days in a car park ahead of time and found there were no parking places if one comes in late in the evening. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my choice in this accommodation.

The cottage is excellent, clean, convenient and has everything you will need. Penryn is quiet, so it’s a trip in to Truro or Falmouth for entertainment, but the buses are excellent. A great place to stay and explore Cornwall.

Great location in a really interesting town close to Falmouth and the lovely estuary. Lots to do and see locally
