Amet Haveli - A Heritage Hotel Udaipur

This is a heritage hotel housed in a beautiful building dating back to the 18th century. The location is amazing, right on the banks of Lake Pichola, with breathtaking views. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and they serve a good breakfast.

The air conditioner was not strong enough to cool the room, even when the ceiling fans were spinning at maximum speed. During the night, the situation became even less bearable since the fans were too noisy to keep on. The bathroom is separated from the room by a few marble steps, which you have to keep in mind constantly to avoid tripping or falling. The TV set is small and outdated, lacking modern features like device mirroring. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was very weak and unstable in the room.

Fabulous place, could be 5 star with some tweets, staff a bit faulty towers, towels a bit caravan park but fab rest, and rooms and position.

We were given a balcony room overlooking the lake and lake palace, steps down to the pool and private garden area, a beautifully situated property with excellent facilities, I cannot think of any better room in Udaipur having visited on several occasions. Will certainly return to the Amet Haveli and look forward to seeing their newly renovated additional rooms and pool. The adjoining restaurant Ambrai is a must for dinner.

Everything was as it should be.

Excellent property. Staff are professional and friendly. Very walkable to most attractions. Breakfast was excellent with lot of choice of cuisines. The dinner by the lake was a great experience. The concierge gave great suggestions. We did a day trip to Kumbalgargh In addition to touring the city palace and fatesagar lake.

During peak time 6pm to 11pm, you will have to park outside about 1/2 mile away and hotel will send a small 3 wheeler. This is not avoidable since the traffic in that area during that time is peak and roads are very narrow. But you can reach before blockage and park your car onsite.
