About this house rental

My home is the only house in Little Albert, Texas, across from the famous Albert Icehouse and historic Albert Dancehall. Guests love the decor, attention to detail, and quiet, private atmosphere despite being close to live music. Award-winning wineries are a short drive away, and Fredericksburg is just 20 minutes. Surrounded by farmland, it’s a perfect getaway with nearby attractions like Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and local wineries!

This was our 2nd stay at this property. The location is perfect if you are looking for somewhere away from the crowds of Fredericksburg but still close to wineries. Narrow Path and Pedernales are only about 1 mile away, and house is just a few miles from 290. Bonus….Albert Ice House is literally across the street. Already planning a return trip.

We were in town for a family wedding at the Albert Dance Hall and Pedernales Cellars. It was perfect proximity and great space for getting ready and plenty of space to sleep. We didn’t make much in the kitchen. Owner was so helpful and quickly responded to texts and messages. Overall great stay!

This property was perfect for our group given its size (very comfortable for 8 adults), location (very close to exceptional wineries on and just off the 290 wine trail, as well excellent food choices), and how quiet it is. Albert Ice House and Dance Hall is just across the street but it was perfectly fine…and fun!

This was a beautiful house in the perfect location if you are going to the Fredericksburg/Johnson City/Hye wineries and distilleries. We were there primarily for the Laguna Madre release at Garrison Brothers, and this was a very short drive to get into that early morning line. The house has a beautiful kitchen, comfy beds and was super clean. The owner was amazing and quick to answer any questions! What we didn't realize was how great the proximity to the Albert Ice House and Dancehall would be. We could walk across the street in the evenings and sit under the gorgeous trees and enjoy the music and the cool breeze. Both nights, the musicians were really excellent and everyone is friendly. After we turned in for the night, the ice house was not noisy at all. We ate in Fredericksburg (Der Lindenbaum) or Johnson City (Pecan Street Brewing). We will be reserving this house for future visits!

The pictures don’t do this beautiful home justice. We were here for a work/relaxing time and couldn’t have been more pleased. The proximity to our working event in Stonewall was perfect. Being a stones throw from Fredericksburg, Blanco, and Johnson City makes this property even better. The added bonus of having the icehouse and Dancehall across the street made our trip. The only downside was having to leave.

Virginia has a wonderful house! Plenty of room, updated nicely and decorated thoughtfully. Very clean! We stayed due to business in the area. Made a few trips into Fredricksburg to grab a bite to eat and wander around a bit. Will surely be staying there again soon!

We were 2 families of 5 staying for a wedding in Boerne and Fredericksburg sightseeing so the location was perfect for both. Virginia was great with providing house information and even making sure the outdoor lights would be on for our late arrival. The house had everything we needed. We were able to have a cookout and enjoy the live music coming from across the street(Albert Icehouse). I definitely recommend this beautiful home!

A group of ladies and I stayed here for our annual girls Christmas trip. The house was beautiful and clean. We walked across the street one night and went to the Albert Icehouse and Dancehall. The refrigerator was not working properly. The ice maker was not working and the fridge was not keeping the food properly cold. I reached out to the property manager and got an immediate response. The issue could not fixed during our stay. Which was a bummer but it wasn’t a big deal for us. The communication was amazing! The 2 things I would have liked to see in the house was window covering and TV’s in the bedrooms. Overall 5 star rating and definitely stay there again.

Only issue with the place was the AC would freeze up and we would periodically have to turn the AC up to allow condenser to thaw out. Wouldn’t mind some curtains in the bed rooms so you aren’t woken up at daylight. Other than that, great stay.

Location is great! Home is beautiful and very clean. Only issue was the keyless entry. Our code did not work. The company that managed the property did not have the correct code. We were told that they would have someone come out the following morning. No one came, but I did call back and get the correct code. The only way that we could enter the property was by going through a crawl space. Good thing we had a couple of small people staying with us. Bring your own bottled water, as the filtered water is poor quality.

Property was so cute. The house has been remodeled and everything was up to date and clean. If you need to wind down and just enjoy some time away this is your place. Its just a short drive from Fredericksburg and has plenty of wineries/breweries within just a few miles. We enjoyed Alberts Ice House which is just across the street. We will definitely make this an annual trip.

Every hunting season, the ladies in my family Pick a weekend in the Fredericksburg area & get together while the guys are at the deer lease. We love staying out of town at a house that is clean, organized, full stocked, plenty of bathrooms & beds. The Albert goes above & beyond meeting & exceeding our expectations!! There were 5 adults & 2 kids. We spent most of our time gathered around the kitchen table talking, eating & enjoying some wine. The updates to this house had us all taking pictures of what we would love in our own homes. It was peaceful even with the icehouse across the street. The beds & linens appeared new & were very comfortable. With two bathrooms, there were plenty of room for us 5 ladies to get ready. The owner, Virginia, was very thorough in her check in & check out procedures as well as where we could locate things. She was very quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again!

Property was nice and location close to so many wineries. On Saturday the ice house had live music and we were able to hear it from the house. The other days were no issues because they were closed earlier. There were plenty of space for our party of 9 and had everything we need.

The house was exactly as listed. Cute design, all amenities you could think of. Just 10 min to 290 wine trail and about 20-25 min to Town of Fredericksburg. Due to COVID I’m sure....wine tastings book fast so schedule months in advance, same for dining.... we had a relaxing weekend with great friends. Wish the Fance Hall across the street was open...would’ve been fun. But the bar, outside yard and Cowboy food truck were open and we visited twice. Wish food truck hours were a little later though.

What an amazing place! The home is fantastic - fabulous furnishings and spaces. The kitchen is so well stocked. Place is super clean and quiet even though it is directly across from the Albert Ice House and Dance Hall. So fun to be able to walk across the street to listen to live music and drink beer! Virginia is a super host! Can’t wait to come back!
