It’s located 1 train station away from Kyoto station, 5 mins drive away from Kyoto Station, 3 mins walk to a wholesale fish supplier which is connected to the hotel. At Hotel Emion, there is a few restaurant on the 2nd floor and on the ground floor it’s where the pick up and drop off along with some nice souvenir shops are also located. Check in is on the 3rd floor. With it they have a public onsen, washing machine / dryers and ice cream vending machines all located on the same floor of the reception. Had my wife along with 2 kids placed in a room with 4 separate beds which was a nice touch. A beautiful bathroom with a huge Japanese bath concept along with a huge bathtub. Cleanliness of the room is good, rooms are rather well sound proof as I couldn’t hear anything from Above or along the corridor. The only draw back was that the onsen facility was not allowed entry to those with tattoos. Even a tiny design or wordings are not allowed entry. Sadly in Agoda it wasn’t mentioned till I was informed upon checking in. I will still return to this hotel As I really like the security and convenience of the hotel and the politeness of the staff in the hotel. There is also a nice park directly across the road with the train station by the side which you can visit their aquarium situated within the park itself. A slow town but a great getaway from the crazy scenes like in Tokyo or Osaka. Hopefully they could open up to those with tatts because not everyone with tatts are accociated with gangs like the thinking of the old days.

The location is very convenient - one stop from Kyoto station and have direct walk way from station to the hotel. Breakfast was really nice - I like the grill fish and the scrambled egg.

Spacious room for 4pax, each can have our own bed! There's vending machines, laundry facilities, onsen on reception level. Each level has a microwave and ice machine located near lift lobby area. Hotel is connected to the train station, exit then take the bridge. Railway museum and aquarium are nearby. There's a fish market right beside the hotel too. Convenient store and a bakery shop round the corner. A few restaurants within the hotel and within the vicinity, note that some open in the evening. The ramen shop opposite the hotel is good! No shopping around the vicinity though. Recommended!

Emion Kyoto is a good hotel. We booked a triple bedroom but was surprised they provided us with 4 beds! Hotel is clean, room is huge for Japanese hotel standard. Breakfast so so coz too many traditional Kyoto cuisine. The only drawback is the location as we need to take bus or JR train to Kyoto Station (1 station). Kyoto railway museum and Kyoto aquarium are the attraction nearby.
