Clean and great kitchen (2 pots, 2 pans, plastic cutting board, knives, glasses, bowls, plates, utensils, seasonings, toaster) and laundry set up. I liked how the place was decorated. It was clean and well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, sponges. Plenty of linens. The host was very kind and fast at responding to my questions (where to throw out trash, parking, etc.). Nice, quiet neighborhood, so not much to do immediately outside but that's okay, just take public transport.
Location could be better, but the 7 minute walk to the D60 bus stop is okay (30 min ride to dupont circle). Sometimes if someone was doing something outside or on the floor above near the door did something, it sounds like someone is right outside the door, which can be scary.

the location is amazing. you can go to the washington monument and the museums with one bus and little bit of walking. the neighbourhood is very safe and calm. the nearest grocery shop is only 17 mins walk.
the stay is in basement and has completely separare entry. so you can go in without disturbing or meeting the owners.
they also had a good collection of books and netflix in the tv, which we enjoyed. all in all, its a great stay.

Location is like none other, right off of 16th st and centrally located to both MD and DC. The property was privately located in a beautiful residential neighborhood.
No temperature control. It was frigidly cold with no way to warm up (space heater) or thermostat access. The noise level should be stated in the property description in the listing. Children running, playing loudly, in addition to the hosting of guests (understandably so, it was the weekend and it’s their home), these facts should be stated. If you are in need of a quiet or minimum noise stay, this will not be the place for you. A disclaimer that explicitly states this should be in the property listing description, or the pricing should be adjusted to reflect as such.
