Borgo Aratico

What an idyllic week at Borgo Aratico. We stayed during a massive heatwave, but the villa was perfectly equipped, with air conditioning in every room, making it a welcome retreat from the sun. The pool was immaculate and cleaned every morning, and it was a joy watching the swallows skim across the water each day. The spa was another lovely touch, offering the perfect place to unwind while escaping the midday sun. The villa itself is beautiful, with huge bedrooms, spacious bathrooms, and plenty of room to unpack and truly settle in. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. Knowing that Borgo Aratico was once Rosanna's grandparents' home makes it feel even more special. It has been lovingly restored and beautifully preserved, combining authentic charm with every modern comfort. Rosanna's family clearly take enormous pride in the property. They were often tending to the gardens, which were always immaculate. We loved picking fresh rosemary from the garden before enjoying long alfresco lunches and dinners together outside. We were staying as a large family for a wedding, so every room in the villa was occupied, and without exception everyone absolutely loved it. It was the perfect place to come together, relax, and celebrate such a special occasion. Not a single person had a bad word to say about the villa. Rosanna and Gaia were exceptional hosts. They were always just a message away and happy to help with absolutely anything. They kindly allowed us to check in early and check out later when my brother's flight was cancelled, which made our stay even more relaxing. Whether we needed recommendations for the best local pasta, advice on places to visit, or help with any small query, nothing was ever too much trouble. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home. The thing we loved most was that Borgo Aratico still feels like a home rather than a commercial resort.

A really wonderful villa in a nice peaceful, scenic location surrounded by beautiful Puglian countryside.

It is quite remote, but with a car, wonderful beaches and towns are within very easy (and scenic) drives. Very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend for a family or group of friends holiday!

Beautiful property, very comfortable and easy access to surrounding towns for day trips. Check in was smooth. Gaia was helpful and responsive.
